抚摸胎教是促进胎儿智力发育、加深父母与胎儿之间情感联系的有效方法，但胎儿和准妈妈都是悉心呵护的对象，抚摸胎教也有需要注意的地方。
首先，抚摸及按压时动作一定要轻柔，以免用力过度引起意外。
其次，有的准妈妈在怀孕中后期经常有一阵阵的腹壁变硬，可能是不规则的子宫收缩，此时不能进行抚摸胎教，以免引起早产。
还要注意的是，准妈妈如果有不良产史，如流产、早产、产前出血等，则不宜使用抚摸胎教。
还有开始抚摸时，有的胎儿能立即做出反应，有的则要过一阵才有反应。
如果此时胎儿不高兴，他会用力挣脱蹬腿反对，碰到这种情况，就应马上停止。
过几天后，胎儿对母亲的手法习惯了，母亲用手按压、抚摸，胎儿就会主动迎上去。
到了6～7个月，母亲已能分辨出胎儿的头背时，就可以轻轻推着胎儿在子宫中“散步”了，这时应配合着轻快的乐曲，使胎儿“做操”。
抚摸胎教可以安排在妊娠20周后，每晚临睡前进行(具体时间由父母的工作性质及作息情况而定，最好定时)，并注意胎儿的反应类型和反应速度。
如果胎儿受到抚摸后，过了一会儿，胎儿才以轻微的蠕动做出反应，这种情况可以继续抚摸。
抚摸从胎头部位开始，然后沿背部到臀部至肢体，轻柔有序。
抚摸时间不宜过长，以5～10分钟为宜。
提示：
对胎儿的皮肤接触并不是越多越好，因为皮肤接触过多会使胎儿感觉很累，甚至会损伤胎儿机体。
准爸爸可不要把语言胎教的工作都推给劳累的孕妈妈，应该主动经常和胎宝宝对话，既对孕妈妈是一种安慰，对胎宝宝的情感发育也有莫大好处。
