课题组鼓励实验教师结合学生的实际情况适当做出调整,将实验课上出特色。
一、教学目标1.语言能力目标:学生能够听懂录音;能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能够理解故事情节;能够根据图片和关键词复述故事;能够用英语就埃菲尔铁塔的诞生展开讨论发表自己的观点;能够对故事结局展开想象并尝试续写。
2.非语言能力目标:初步了解埃菲尔铁塔的历史与巴黎这座城市;通过采访培养学生主动挖掘与思考的能力及语言表达能力;通过讨论培养学生的想象力和预测能力。
二、课时安排每周不少于两课时,1-2 个课时完成一个故事。
要求学生课前反复听录音跟读。
三、教师要求1.教师课前须熟读故事,了解故事内容。
2.对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。

朗读时,教师要提醒学生注意长词难词的发音。
请学生分组朗读图片11-20,然后回答以下问题:Did the children find the Eiffel Tower at last?Who did they meet?How was the Eiffel Tower invented?在朗读过程中,教师需要注意学生对较长的单词,如competition, Monsieur 等的发音。
对朗读有困难或有问题的学生应给予指导和示范。
如果学生课前预习效果不好,教师需在课上适当安排听录音模仿环节。
5.复述故事( Retelling ):深化理解,学会自己组织语言概括故事大意教师通过问题引导学生梳理故事主线,深化对故事的理解。
再请学生基于问答,结合部分故事图片复述故事主要情节,培养学生的概括能力和语言表达能力。
( 1)图片排序,梳理故事情节教师在黑板上展示故事图片12、13、16、 17、 18、 19,请学生根据故事内容排序。
教师根据图片提出问题,引导学生梳理故事情节。
学生回答后,教师可将部分关键词板书在图片下方。
问题与关键词参考如下:(图片12、 13) What was the man ’s model like at first? What was his idea?(torch,taller than all the houses in Paris )(图片16) What happened to the man’s big torch? ( blew off, fell over with a crash)(图片17) How did the man feel? What was Anneena ’s idea? ( upset, lift the brokentorch)(图片18) What did the children do? ( turned the torch upside down )(图片19) What did the torch look like at last? (the Eiffel Tower )( 2)图文结合,复述故事主干利用黑板上展示的图片与关键词,请学生简单复述故事主要情节。
教师可将学生分成若干 4 人小组,先在小组内进行复述,然后再请2-3 个小组展示。
6.采访( Interview ):主动挖掘故事,锻炼学生的提问与表达能力引导学生主动挖掘故事,培养学生的总结提问能力和语言表达能力。
( 1)确定角色任选 4 位同学来扮演故事中的Anneena, Biff, Nadim, Chip ,上台接受班上同学的采访。
( 2)采访问答请其他同学选择采访对象,基于故事提问。
教师要注意提醒学生,所提问题必须基于故事。
尽量鼓励学生就四位小主人公的旅途中的遭遇和心情提出“ how”,“ why ”等问题。
如学生不能理解,教师可先给出示范。
如:Biff, how did you know you were in Paris? Why couldn’tyou find the Eiffel Tower?Anneena, how did you know that the man ’s name was Eiffel?7.讨论( Discussion):发挥想象力,就埃菲尔铁塔的诞生展开讨论,预测故事结局的3同时培养学生的文化意识教师利用 PPT 展示问题,引导学生就埃菲尔铁塔的诞生展开分组讨论,预测故事结局的同时培养学生的想象力与文化意识。
Who do you think would win the competition?Do you believe that ’s how the Eiffel Tower was invented?Can you make your own version of how the Eiffel Tower was invented?学生讨论之后,教师可给学生简单介绍埃菲尔铁塔的历史(见课件,亦可参考附录中的文化背景知识),并要求学生课后自己去查找资料,进一步了解埃菲尔铁塔。
教师要鼓励学生畅所欲言,提醒学生讨论规则:( 1)每个人都要有说话的机会;(2)别人讲话时认真倾听;( 3)可以补充他人的观点。
8.家庭作业(Homework)( 1)基于讨论,续写或改写故事。
( 2)去图书馆或网上查找资料,做自己的 Eiffel Tower Project 。
如:仿照故事图 2 中的图片做一个 poster,或找一些有关 Eiffel Tower 的小故事等。
六、教师自我反思1.教学理念是否体现了“以意义为核心”、“整进整出”的教学理念;是否将整体教学、启发式教学等方法贯穿于课堂教学之中。
2.教学目标是否实现了本课所提出的语言能力和非语言能力等目标,如:学生是否能读懂故事情节;是否能用标准的语音语调独立朗读故事;学生能否理解故事情节;是否能够根据故事图片和关键词复述故事;是否能发挥想象力创造自己的故事等。
3.课堂操作( 1)提问教师设置的问题是否符合学生水平,能否引起学生的兴趣并启发学生思考;学生能否通过教师提问的引导观察图片并理解故事的主要情节。
( 2)听学生是否真正听懂了录音以及教师的问题和指令,并做出正确的反应;教师是否认真倾听了学生的反馈;是否发现了学生在朗读与表达过程中出现的问题(如,competition, Monsieur 等长词或难词的发音)。
( 3)说教师说得多还是学生说得多;教师是否给了学生表达的机会;教师是否在学生回答后给出了反馈;学生是否能根据故事提出问题或回答同学提出的问题;是否能用英语埃菲尔铁塔的诞生展开讨论并发表自己的观点。
( 4)思考课堂环节衔接是否流畅;教师语言是否易于理解;教师是否帮助学生了解了相关的文化4背景知识;采访环节学生参与是否积极,提问是否基于故事;讨论环节的问题是否能启发学生;师生之间、生生之间是否有良好、有效的互动;下一次课堂设计需要在哪些方面提高。
