地处珠江口伶仃洋东侧,北与东莞市和惠州市接壤,南与香港一河之隔,东至大亚湾畔。
市域面积2020平方公里,海岸线长229.96公里。
境内最高峰为梧桐山国家森林公园主峰,海拔943.7米。
深圳属亚热带海洋性气候,年平均气温最22.04°C,年平均降水量1948.40毫米。
