Pay attention to tone
• Even though you expect a favorable response, the tone of your initial request is important.
• Instead of demanding action ,soften your request with word such as please and I would appreciate.

But the night of my speech, a surprising thing happ ened. At the age of 41, I was hit on by a 27-yearold guy. I know, right? He was charming and I was flattered, and I declined.
