when adv. “(疑问副词) 什么时候，何时”，用来对时间进行提问。
When can I see you? 我什么时候可以看见你？when conj .“在……的时候”，引导时间状语从句。
When is your math class? 你什么时候上数学课？birthday n. “生日”，是由birth (出生)＋day (天) 构成的复合词。
His birthday is June second. 他的生日是6月2日。
birthday 构成的短语和句子： (1)birthday card 生日卡片Can you write a birthday card? 你能写一张生日卡片吗？ (2)birthday party 生日聚会 Let's have a birthday party. 我们举行一个生日聚会吧。
(3)birthday cake 生日蛋糕We want to buy a birthday cake for Lucy. 我们想为露西买一个生日蛋糕。

十二个月份的缩写形式如下： January —Jan.；February —Feb.；March —Mar.；April —Apr.；May —May ；June —June ；July —July ；August —Aug.；September —Sept.；October —Oct.；November —Nov.；December—Dec.十二个月份歌谣：January，February过节放鞭炮；March，April，May春暖景色好；June小朋友们来联欢；July，August去海边；September开学别迟到；October国庆真热闹；November，December天冷雪花飘；十二个月份要记牢。
May 2nd “5月2日”，表示日期，其中2nd是序数词。
日期有如下的表示方法：(1)月、日、年的顺序。
“日”与“年”之间要加逗号。
读时，“日”一定要读作序数词。
April 4/4th,2009 读作：April (the) fourth，two thousand and nine(2)日、月、年的顺序。
读时，“日”一定要读作序数词，而且一般前面要加定冠词the。
2/2nd July 1999 读作：the second of July/July the second，nineteen ninetynine(3)“在某年”或“在某年某月”要用介词in，“在某年某月某日”要用介词on。

其答语常为Thank you 。
happy ，adj.“愉快的；高兴的；满意的”常用来表达祝愿。

其同义句为：What's your age?how old “多大年纪，几岁”，提问年龄。
How old is your brother ？你弟弟几岁了？(1)old adj .年老的We're old now.现在我们老了。
(2)old adj . 旧的My book is an old one.我的书是旧的。
【例题】 —______ is your mother? —She's thirtyfive.A ．HowB ．What岁了。
本句是含有主系表结构的简单句。
在回答how old引导的提问年龄的问句时，常用“主语＋系动词be＋基数词＋(years old)”结构，其中years old可以省略。
上句可改写为：I'm twelve years old.我12岁了。
表示“一岁大”时，用：one year old。
The baby is one year old.这个婴儿一岁大。
【例题】 His mother is ______.A．fortieth B．fourteen再见！本句是用来告别的用语。
See you！＝ Goodbye！再见！See you soon！再见。
此句是用于暂时分别用语。
See you again.通常用于事先没有预约好的场合。
See you later.则要用于事先预约好的场合。
See you then.到时候见。
【例题】—See you.—______.A．Have a good time B．Have a good dayC．See you D．Come on解析：A项和B项都是祝愿的话语，意为“祝你过得愉快”；D项是催促别人快走，意为“快点”；题干句意为“再见”，故答语选C项。

age n. 年龄；年纪What's her age？她多大年龄了？at the age of...在……岁时At the age of fiv e，he could(能，会) read and write.在五岁时，他就会读写了。

一、序数词序数词是表示顺序的数词。
序数词前常加定冠词the。
序数词的词形变化及其缩写形式：1．第1,2,3是独立的特殊形式，first 1st；second 2nd；third 3rd2．从4到19的序数词，是在相应的基数词的词尾加th，特别注意第五、第八、第九、第十二；fourth 4th；fifth 5th；sixth 6th，seventh 7th；eighth 8th；ninth 9th；tenth 10th；eleventh 11th；twelfth 12th3．20到90这些整十的数词，其相应的基数词都是以ty结尾，序数词一般是把基数词词尾的y变成ie，再加th。
twentieth 20th；thirtieth 30th；fortieth 40th；fiftieth 50th；sixtieth 60th；seventieth 70th；eightieth 80th；ninetieth 90th 4．其余的两位数，只需将其相应基数词的个位改成序数词。
twentyfirst 21st；thirty-fourth 34th；sixtyninth 69th；ninetythird 93rd巧记基数词变为序数词：一、二、三要牢记，其余后面加th。
th里边有例外，你要格外记明白。
八去t，九去e，ve要用f替。
几十变y为ie，跟着再加th。
几十几只变个位数。
序数词表顺序，一般要加定冠词。
二、名词的所有格在汉语中，我们常用“的”表示某物归谁所有。
如：老师的书；丽萍的尺子等。
英语中的这种所属关系就是名词所有格，相当于汉语中的“的”。
所有格的类型：1．“'s” 所有格有生命物体的名词以及表示时间、距离、国家、城市等的名词常用“ 's” 所有格。
It's twenty minutes' walk.步行二十分钟的路程。
有以下几种加's的情况：a．单数名词后直接加“'s”。
This is my son's book.这是我儿子的书。
b．复数名词词尾为s时，其后只加“' ”。
These are students' schoolbags.这些是学生们的书包。
