一、指示代词

1.指示代词的用法

1).this/that一般指代较近的人或物；that/those一般指代较远的人或物。

2).this/that表示单数意义，作主语时，谓语动词要用单数形式；these/those分别是this/that的复数形式，在句中作主语时其谓语动词要用复数形式。

3).在回答主语是this, that, these或those的疑问句时，通常要用it来代替this或that；用they来代替these或those。

4).使用英语打电话时，介绍自己this，询问对方用that。如：This is Jack speaking，who is that？

5).this和these常指后面要讲的事物，有启下的作用；而that常指前面提到过的事物，具有承上的作用。

2. who引导的特殊疑问句

Who’s = Who is Who’re = Who are She’s = She is He’s = He is They’re =They are

小练习：—Who are they?—______.

A. They are my friends

B. She is my friends

C. Those are my friends

D. Those are my friend

答案：C. 问句中使用复数回答也要用复数。

二、指示代词用于情景交际

1).this/that一般指代较近的人或物；that/those一般指代较远的人或物。

What is this? / What are those?---That’s a book.(远处)/These are my books.(近处)

2).this/that 句子变复数

This is my friend. 复数These are my friends.

That is my brother. 复数Those are my brothers.

3).回答：—Is this your pen?这是你的笔吗？—Yes, it is.是的，它是。

—Are these your parents?—这些是你的父母吗？—No, they aren’t.—不，他们不是。

4).电话用语：This is Tom.—Who’s that?—我是汤姆。—你是哪位？

5).this和these常指后面要讲的事物，有启下的作用；而that常指前面提到过的事物，具有承上的作用。

例如：This is my sister’s bag.That’s red.这是我姐姐的包。那包是红色的。
