Bad Rice

“Look at this,”Bonnie said. Scott looked. Scott looked inside a

plastic bag. There was rice inside the bag. But something else was inside

the bag. “What are these things? ”he asked. They were insects. The insects

were crawling around. A lot of insects were crawling around. “That ’ s disgusting,”he said. “Where did they come from? ”Bonnie said, “They came

from you! ”Scott said no. He didn ’t have insects. Not even one. “You

bought the wrong bag of rice,”Bonnie said. “I told you which bag of

rice to buy. But you wanted to save money. So you bought the cheap

rice with insects in it! ”Bonnie tied up the bag. She put the bag inside

another bag. She tied up the second bag. “This is for you to eat, ”

Bonnie said. “Uh,thanks,”Scott said.

American Breakfast

The Moon

The moon is smaller than the earth. It is more than three hundred and

eighty thousand kilometres away from us. In 1969,two Americans got to the

moon by spaceship. They found no living things there. And there is no

air or water there. It is too hot in the day and too cold at night, so

nothing can live on the moon. Everything on the moon is much lighter

because there is no gravity. Walking on the moon is like jumping and

flying. So we can jump higher on the moon than on the earth..
