(Dalek)
Doctor Who

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde(化身博士)Robert Louis Stevenson (a famous English writer) spent 3days to complete this short fiction. “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”is a book with good consistency, full of mystery and fantasy.Dr. Jekyll is the top leader of this book, a doctor who is kind and famous. He wants to find a way to separate the kind side and the evil side of a person. So he used himself to do a horrible experiment. He is one of the normal people, but he doesn’t want to show the bad side of himself to the others. Finally, he invent a potion to transform himself into the cruel, ugly man——Hyde. Everyone will hate Hyde when they meet him for the first time and nobody can recognize Hyde is Dr. Jekyll. So Dr. Jekyll can do lots of bad things on the false pretenses of Hyde. A man would be free to be both people inside him.Actually, I have to say that the writer is intelligent. At the beginning of this novel, is just a story of a bad man. The writer isn’t say anything about this surprising experiment. Robert Louis Stevenson gives us a special start and believes we will attracted by this start. Yes, we are. Through this start, a big plot show to us step by step. Nobody can refuse a gift of a good book. The writer wants to say some psychological problems about people through the story of Dr. Jekyll. we are all people, we all have feelings, we all have both sides of us——the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The only question is, can you find a way to maintain your mental health? Maybe we can’t afford to have our own psychological consultant, but we can play games to relax ourselves, or realize any wildest dream in this virtual world. Imaging this, once our Dr. Jekyll has some evil minds, he can turn to his computer for help. Maybe he can play some action games to satisfy his desire for “passion”, just like people today. As soon as the bad side of him wants to control him, he will do some the other things instead of becoming Mr. Hyde.A successful novel is the details are intricate, and the ability of desc ribing the surrounding is a typical example. “The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”meets the needs of these standards. The smart writer gives an end to this fiction as the truth of Mr. Hyde and the author doesn’t continually to write any more. He just gives the readers some space to imagine what will happen after the others know the truth and what kind of things the polices will do. The author give up describing polices investigate the crime about sir Danvers Carew clearly. And make the fiction become just a short story. Like a famous man says that “the charm of this book is that it’s just a short story but a long story”. Yes, this book will become dilator if develop its to a long story. Because its can’t give the readers a impression of having a well-knit plot, and people will loss the interest about this story.Right and wrong. Joy and despair. Good and evil. These are the themes Robert Louis Stevenson addresses in his work. Jekyll or Hyde impressed me most. As he said in the book, "I am one person of two sides." That's it. He's quite different from Lanyon and Utterson, and even differs from many characters in other. I love to read this character though I don't like this evil man at all. But I really take a great pity on this bad guy. On one hand, he gained much joy from the successful experiment. What's more, on the other hand, he can escape from punishment while doing badly as Hyde. So, we may guess why Stevenson names the bad guy Hyde, which sounds like "hide". Ihave to say that he is quite a success and very achievable, while just as a doctor or Jekyll, not Hyde at all. However, more bitterness than sweets had he tastes. Each time he recovered to Jekyll after doing bad, what a huge guilty he must burden. I still remember in his letter to Utterson, described was a poor man near to break down with much guilty and regrets beyond our thoughts and almost a lunatic. As a real human with emotions and affections, he is absolutely quite a failure despite of his achievements on science. Represented on the paper is a man full of evil! And I hope this tragedy on science never come true, for it will destroy all we have. This led me to a dramatic world. Hyde, who served a well-known drugs, Dr. Jekyll ──enjoy power. Dr. Jekyll, Since then becomes a very odd, as if fascinated by the drug, taking it all day long, so that "evil" the other side of Hyde, was also killed Dr. Andrei. When he turned back into Dr. Jekyll, whatever terrible crime Hyde did, he could always be safe a moment later. To know the truth of Dr. Lennon died due to depression. Dr. Jekyll taking the drugs, have not been able to control the other side of Hyde, lead to a situation out of control lost nature, never become Hyde, the change can not come back, and eventually died mad. Finally, a letter, so that's good friend, Dr. Utterson ──The lawyer knows the whole story.Do you have you thought about the other side of the "evil" part of it? In fact, it is invisible, is the book's protagonist water use will be "evil" character of the entity, but is essential, as a bright, peaceful co-existence must be. Also, good and evil, and so must survive in order to maintain a balance, if too good at the expense of the people but their own; if too evil, resulting in other people's troubles, it is not good! The book's main character has made a wrong model, so that their own personal awakening of evil, beyond the control of the lead, making Dr. Jekyll has been weak, Hyde has been the growth and development, the last being on the evil people who occupied the body of Hyde, so I proposed We must not let evil regained consciousnessMen , half of it is angel and the other is demon. What we should do is keeping our rational emotions to lock up the demon side in your body and try your best to keep balance both of them. So you may gain in happiness and the one you really are!。

Critical Review 影评Straightforward and Heartfelt: The Doctor Returns In ThisEco-Friendly Christmas ThrillerWatching the modern Doctor Who one-off specials has certainly become an unexpected Christmas tradition in our home. And each Doctor brings his own spin to the holiday themed episodes. Last year Matt Smith's Doctor took on Dickens in an outer-space interpretation of "A Christmas Carol." It was frenetic and funny, managed to seamlessly blend tragedy with humor, and was emotionally satisfying without being cloying. This year, we had "The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe" (its central plot point borrows from a certain literature classic--I think you can figure out which one). This may well be the most straightforward and heartfelt Christmas special yet. Set in World War II era Britain, Smith helps a family adjusts to what promises to be a painful season by making a perfect getaway experience for the kids. However, with the best of intentions, one of the Doctor's surprises leads to unexpected dangers. The family must work together to ensure their very survival and get back home. The special capitalizes of an eco-friendly theme as the principle aliens within the piece are not your typical beasts. They too are a race battling to live as manmade intrusions into their environment threaten their existence and livelihood. Might the Doctor and his charges be of assistance? It is Christmas after all. Or as certain annihilation looms, might it be too late for anyone to survive? This is Doctor Who after all. The show's pacing is brisk and its storyline affirms a strong message of loyalty and family. In fact, the Doctor's exposure to the widow and her children make him contemplate those that he has left behind through the course of his exploits. While many of the past Christmas specials were completely independent, "The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe" actually fits comfortably into the timeline of the on-going series. With a minimum of screen time, the show's finale packs an emotional punch that really resonates and sets up future episodes. And while, in truth, the main story was pleasant enough--it is these last few minutes that really distinguish this special and make it memorable. Smith is crisp and amusing as always, but it is Claire Skinner (as the mother) that really gets some nice dramatic moments. All in all, this is a very well balanced presentation. And, especially due to the last few moments, it is one that I will remember. A solid 4 star episodes with a simple but effective 5 star finale, I'd rank this as one of the sweetest (and possibly best) Christmas specials yet.Thoroughly Excellent, But Perhaps too Unexplained forNewcomersAs a longtime fan of Doctor Who, this episode was absolutely brilliant for me. The plot's twists and turns provided just enough action and excitement while maintaining enough "still" moments to develop Clara's character. Having said that, however, the one issue with the episode was undoubtedly its callbacks to Doctor Who history--particularly, the main villain. The villain (not Dr. Simeon, but the force that Dr. Simeon is working for/with) is actually derived from Season 2 of Doctor Who, or classic Who as it is now referred. Such references for me, a longtime fan, added another dimension to the show but likely confused newcomers. Unlike past companion introduction episodes, this episode focused more on the story and adventure than truly unveiling Clara as a character, which, again, could defer newcomers.Unlike Amy Pond, who got a proper backstory in her introduction episode, Clara seems to be getting her introduction through the arc of the season--and though I am thoroughly excited for the journey, I fear it will put off some viewers who are contemplating watching the show in the long run. My advice to newcomers would be to do a bit of background research on Doctor Who before watching this episode. Otherwise, it could just be an altogether confusing experience.Christmas SpecialYes, 5 stars. And I'm not even going to talk about the plot. Not only was this the best thing on TV in many, many moons, but it was also the best episode of Doctor Who since... possibly as far back as the middle of Season 4. If I've learned anything from past Doctors, it's that it takes about a season for the new actor to become the roll.In this episode, Matt Smith is the Doctor. This is the first episode since Moffat took over that I felt like we got to see the Doctor through many different lenses, and that adds to the dynamic and shear scope of the character. (The Amy/Rory side-plot is pivotal in establishing this effect.)Watch this episode. Then watch it again because it's even better the second time. Also, I feel I should add that this was the first thing I bought and watched through my new Roku. That thing is awesome.。
