虚拟语气语法点

例句：1.I would rather you did it now.

2.I would rather you had done it yesterday.

3.I would rather they came tomorrow.

⑶用于表示建议、愿望、命令等词后的宾语从句中，常见的动词有：demand,order, require,insist `suggest,propose advise recommend等宾语从句中的虚拟语气结构为should + 动词原形，should可以省略。如：

a.He suggested that we (should) start off early the next day.

b.The doctor ordered that the patient (should) be sent to hospital.

c.They insisted that the boy( should) go with them.

特例：这些动词的宾语从句是否使用虚拟语气，要看动词的词义、句子所表达的意义而定。如果句子的意思说明事情尚未做或应该去做，从句才使用虚拟语气；如果说话人在陈述事实，就要根据实际情况使用恰当的时态。

例句:a.He insisted that the conference should be put off till the next month.他坚持把会议推迟到下个月。

b.He insisted that he had done nothing wrong.他坚持说他没做错事。

c.He suggested Mr Smith be invited to the party.他建议邀请史密斯先生到会。

d.His pale look suggested that he was in poor health.他的苍白的面色表明他身体状况不佳。注意：上述动词的名词形式可带有表语从句、同位语从句，从句的谓语动词也用should +动词原形。如：a .It is requested that all the books be delivered to each school as soon as possibl

2虚拟语气用于主语从句中.

It is desired /suggested/proposed/necessary/important/strage/natural/a pity/essential+that 从句中的谓语用should +动词原形。如：

a.It is suggested that the meeting should be put off till next week.

b.It is strange that he should have acted toward his parents like that.注意：以上句式也可

以用于陈述句。如：It’s a pity that you can’t dancer.

It’s strange that he didn’t come yesterday.

用于表语从句和同位语从句中，在suggestion,proposal,order,,plan,idea, request,advice等名词后的表语从句和同位语从句中要用虚拟语气，谓语动词构成是should+动词原形。如：

a.My idea is that we should think it over before accepting it .

b.We all agreed to his suggestion that we should go to Dalian for sightseeing.

3.虚拟语气用于定语从句中

a. It is(high ) time that you went to school.

b. It is (high) time that we should start out.

4.虚拟语气用于as if,as though,引导的表语从句，其谓语动词形式与wish 后的宾语从句相同

5.用于目的状语从句，由so that,in order than连接，从句谓语动词形式为may/might/can/could+动词原形。

6.由in case, lest以免，for fear that唯恐可用来引起虚拟语气其形式为in case,lest,for fear that+主语+should +动词原形其中lest,for fear that句中should 可省，in case中should不可省。

例句a. He took his rain coat with him in case it should rain.

b.I will not make a noise for fear that I should disturb you.

c.Cars must be taken in using this method lest overflow(should) occur.

7.If only（要是------该多好)可以用于虚拟语气，用法同wish用法

如：a. If only he were here.(反现在)

b. If onl you would listen to our advice(反将来)

c. If only I hahn’t been busy last week.

8.表祝愿，愿望句型中的虚拟语气

如：a. Long live China!

b.God bless you!

c. May God bless you!

9.had hoped后面可接虚拟语气，谓语构成：would+动词原形

★混合虚拟句：当条件状语从句表示的行为和主句表示的行为所发生的时间不一致时，被称为混合虚拟句。如：a.If you followed my advice just now,you would be better now.

b.If you had studied before,you would be a college student now.

★If 省略句：在条件句中可省略if,把were, had, should 提前，变为倒装句式。如：

a.If I were at school again,I would study harder.

→Were I at school again,I would study harder.

b.If you had come earlier,you would catch the bus.

→Had you come earlier,you would catch the bus.

c.If it should rain tomorrow,we would not go climbing.

→Should it rain tomorrow,we would not go climbing.

10.含蓄虚拟句：有时为了表达的方便不总是出现if，而用其他手段来代替条件句
