本单元围绕描述人物外貌的话题展开活动。
这一课时着重介绍语言目标What does he look like? He is / has…，让学生学习怎样用英语来描述人的外貌特征，由于该内容接近学生的生活实际，为学生所熟悉，容易引起学生学习兴趣，从而促进学生自主，探究学习，为后面的课时学习打下基础。
