1Moral Education Infusion Plan for New Horizon English Book 5BAs a fifth-grader, I'm really enjoying learning English this year with the New Horizon textbook series. While the lessons are helping me build important language skills, I've also noticed there are many opportunities for moral education woven throughout the units and activities. I think it's brilliant how my English studies can reinforce positive values at the same time.In Unit 1 about seasons and weather, the reading passage on climate change raises awareness about environmental protection. It teaches us how human actions like burning fossil fuels contribute to global warming, and calls on everyone to reduce their carbon footprint. Simple steps like walking instead of driving, recycling, and turning off unused lights can make a real difference. As students, we have a responsibility to take care of our planet for future generations. The Unit 2 topic of food ties in nicely with the virtues of gratitude and avoiding waste. The dialogue about packed lunches reminds us to appreciate the effort our parents or school cafeteria workers put into preparing healthy meals. We shouldn't be picky eaters or throw away good food. With so many people in the world going hungry, it's only right that we clean our plates and avoid wasting sustenance. This unit shapes our attitudes towards food and teaches restraint. When we get to Unit 3 about outdoor activities, the lessons on camping and hiking provide context for discussing respect for nature. We learn camping ethics like sticking to trails, not disturbing wildlife, and properly disposing of trash. If everyone follows these principles when enjoying the outdoors, we can better preserve natural environments. The readings nurture an ecological consciousness within us.Perhaps one of the most powerful examples of values education is in Unit 4 covering special days and festivals. While the unit builds cultural awareness by highlighting celebrations around the world, the virtue of unity in diversity is strongly promoted. We're taught to respect all cultural traditions and see our ethnic and religious diversity as a strength, not a divide.Understanding and embracing our multicultural identities helps breed social harmony. In the next unit about rules and regulations, we delve into the reasons why laws and policies are put into place – to ensure public safety, maintain order, and protect rights. Obedience to authorities and rules is presented as a civic duty and sign of a good citizen. From a young age, we understand the importance of rules for making society function smoothly. This encourages a law-abiding spirit.Another area where moral education gets integrated is in Unit 6 discussing jobs and occupations. Through learning about different career paths, we absorb the value of hard work and doing your job with diligence. The biographies of famous inventors and scientists inspire us with their perseverance and contributions. We realize that no occupation is too small, and all work deserves respect when carried out with commitment. A strong work ethic gets instilled. As we move into Unit 7 covering the topic of feeling and emotions, emotional intelligence skills like empathy, anger management and positive thinking get reinforced. The readings about managing stress and dealing with setbacks teach resilience. We learn it's okay to express emotions in a healthyway, and that communication and optimism are key to overcoming difficulties. These are such important life lessons for our personal and social development.Unit 8 has a health and safety theme, but also imparts the moral of caring for others, especially the young and elderly. For instance, one dialogue is about visiting a grandparent at a retirement home – a good chance to discuss showing respect and compassion towards the aged. Road safety tips build a sense of civic responsibility and looking out for the wellbeing of all. We recognize that safeguarding society is everyone's role. Finally, when we reach Unit 9 about travel, the ethical concept of being an environmentally-conscious tourist gets explored. We learn about reducing plastic waste, respecting local cultures when visiting, buying souvenirs from responsible sources, and being mindful of our footprint. Traveling responsibly is the righteous way to see the world. This unit shapes us into globetrotters who appreciate different places while minimizing negative impacts.Overall, I'm so impressed by how comprehensively moral education principles have been woven into my English studies through the New Horizon 5B textbook. While building my linguistics skills, I'm also getting an ethical framework for life.Every unit seems to be imbuing positive values like environmental stewardship, cultural respect, discipline, diligence, resilience, and compassion. No topic is devoid of opportunities to shape virtuous thought and behavior.I feel my wisdom, emotional intelligence, and socio-cultural awareness are being nurtured alongside my English proficiency. More than just language learners, we're becoming progressive young citizens with ideals to make th e world better. My класс hopes to put the moral lessons from English class into practice for creating a brighter, more harmonious future for all. Thank you to the textbook developers for this holistic educational approach!篇2Moral Education Permeation Plan for New Concept English (Student's Book 5B)As a fifth-grader, learning English is not just about mastering grammar rules and memorizing vocabulary words. It's also an opportunity to explore different cultures, understand diverse perspectives, and develop important values that will guide us throughout our lives. The New Concept English (Student's Book5B) provides a rich platform for moral education to be seamlessly integrated into our language learning journey. One of the core values emphasized in this textbook is respect. From the very first unit, we learn about the importance of showing respect to our elders, teachers, and peers. The dialogues and reading passages highlight how using polite language and exhibiting good manners can foster harmonious relationships and create a positive learning environment. As we practice these social niceties in our role-plays and group activities, we internalize the significance of treating others with dignity and consideration.Another recurring theme is the value of hard work and perseverance. Through stories of individuals who have overcome challenges and achieved their dreams through sheer determination, we are inspired to cultivate a growth mindset. The characters in the textbook serve as role models, teaching us that success is not solely dependent on innate talent but on our willingness to put in consistent effort and embrace failures as learning opportunities. This lesson is particularly valuable for us as students, as it motivates us to approach our studies with dedication and resilience.Intertwined with the language learning objectives is a strong emphasis on environmental awareness and conservation. The textbook introduces us to various environmental issues, such as pollution, deforestation, and the importance of preserving natural resources. Through engaging activities andthought-provoking discussions, we are encouraged to reflect on our individual and collective responsibilities in protecting our planet. This not only nurtures a sense of ecological consciousness but also instills in us the value of being responsible global citizens. Moreover, the textbook celebrates diversity and promotes cross-cultural understanding. We are exposed to different customs, traditions, and lifestyles from around the world. By exploring these diverse cultural perspectives, we learn to appreciate and respect differences, developing empathy and an open-minded attitude towards others. This exposure helps us develop a global outlook and prepares us to navigate an increasingly interconnected world with confidence and cultural sensitivity.Woven throughout the lessons are also valuable lessons on teamwork, communication skills, and conflict resolution. Through collaborative projects and group activities, we learn theimportance of active listening, compromising, and working together towards a common goal. These skills not only enhance our language proficiency but also equip us with essential life skills that will serve us well in our future academic and professional endeavors.Furthermore, the textbook subtly reinforces the importance of honesty, integrity, and ethical decision-making. Through stories and scenarios that present moral dilemmas, we are prompted to think critically about the consequences of our actions and the impact they have on others. These discussions encourage us to develop a strong moral compass and cultivate a sense of responsibility for our choices and behaviors. As we progress through the textbook, we not only expand our linguistic abilities but also develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world. The carefully curated content and activities foster personal growth, instilling in us values such as empathy, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. In conclusion, the New Concept English (Student's Book 5B) is more than just a language learning resource; it is a powerful tool for moral education. By seamlessly integrating essential values and life lessons into the curriculum, it equips us with theknowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world with integrity, resilience, and a deep sense of social and environmental responsibility. As we engage with the textbook, we not only become proficient in the English language but also emerge as well-rounded individuals, prepared to contribute positively to our communities and make a meaningful impact on society.篇3Moral Education Integration Plan for the New Horizon English Textbook Grade 5 Volume 2As a 5th grader, learning English is not only about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules, but also understanding different cultures and developing good values. Our English textbook, New Horizon Grade 5 Volume 2, covers some really interesting topics that can help us become better people. In Unit 1 about animals, we learned how to describe different creatures and their habitats. But beyond just learning words like "trunk", "hump" and "pouch", we discussed the importance of protecting endangered species and their environments. Our teacher showed us pictures of animals like elephants, camels andkangaroos whose homes are being destroyed by human activities like deforestation and pollution. Seeing those poor animals struggling to survive really made me realize how we need to take care of the Earth better. The next unit was about hobbies and sports. Of course we practiced useful language for talking about our favorite activities like "I'm keen on..." and "My hobby is...". However, the teacher also emphasized values like perseverance, teamwork and having a healthy lifestyle. The dialogues gave examples of kids who don't give up easily when faced with difficulties in their hobbies. And the reading passage described how playing sports helps children stay fit, make friends, and learn discipline. I'm definitely feeling inspired to work harder at swimming and try a new team sport this year!Unit 3 covered the topic of seasons and festivals. In addition to seasonal vocabulary and grammar for describing routines, we got to share about our own cultural celebrations. I loved hearing my classmates present about holidays I wasn't familiar with like Diwali, Eid al-Fitr and Chuseok. It made me appreciate the diversity in our world and want to be more respectful of different traditions. The teacher also reminded us about beingenvironmentally-friendly during festive times by reducing waste and excessive consumption. One of my favorite units was number 4 about rules and regulations. The conversations were really relatable, with kids debating over school rules they found unreasonable. Our teacher had us do role-plays to look at different perspectives and come up with fair solutions. I learned that rules are made to protect people, even if they seem inconvenient sometimes. We also read about famous people who overcame injustice throughnon-violent civil disobedience, like Rosa Parks and Mahatma Gandhi. Their courage and commitment to peaceful resistance were so inspiring! In the next unit about careers, I gained a deeper appreciation for all kinds of professions that keep our society running. We read interviews with people who have humble but important jobs, like firefighters, garbage collectors and farmers. The message was that every honest job deserves respect, regardless of income or status. The teacher also advised us to pursue careers that match our interests and values, not just follow money or others' expectations. I'm still pretty young to decide on my future path, but at least I know money isn't everything. One thing I'll never forget from this textbook is Unit 6 about global issues. The hard-hitting content opened my eyes to challenges facing the world like poverty, disease, war and climate change. It was depressing to learn about the number of children who lack basic needs like food, clean water and education. However, it also motivated me to want to get involved with charities and be more aware of my consumption habits. The teacher reminded us that even kids can make a difference through little actions like conserving resources, volunteering and being kind to others. Someday I hope to have the skills to solve big global problems. The final unit was all about morality and philosophies for living a good life. We analyzed quotes from wise figures across cultures about virtues like honesty, courage, patience and compassion. My favorite was "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted" which reminds me to be a caring person. The reading taught principles for making ethical decisions, such as considering consequences and putting myself in others' shoes. While these concepts were quite deep for 5th graders, I feel like I have a stronger foundation for building good character.Overall, I'm so grateful that English class through the New Horizon textbook went beyond just teaching language skills. Allthe lessons tied into moral values that will help shape me into a responsible global citizen. I've become more aware of important issues, more accepting of diversity, and more mindful of how my actions impact others. Of course I'm still just a kid with lots to learn, but this textbook has been great exposure to develop ethical thinking. English is definitely more than just studying a foreign tongue - it's a window into understanding different peoples and perspectives. I hope the moral lessons I've absorbed will stick with me for life as I continue growing.。

1. IntroductionAs an English teacher in the fifth grade of elementary school, I understand the importance of moral education in the overall development of students. In addition to imparting knowledge, it is also my responsibility to guide my students in cultivating good character, moral values, and positive attitudes. In this work plan, I will outline my approach to integrating moral education into my English teaching, as well as the specific activities and initiatives I will undertake to promote the moral development of my students.2. Goals and ObjectivesThe primary goal of my moral education work plan is to nurture students who are not only academically proficient, but also morally upright and socially responsible. To achieve this goal, the following objectives have been identified:- Promote a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe and valued.- Integrate moral values and character education into the English curriculum.- Organize extracurricular activities that promote moral development and social responsibility.- Foster a sense of empathy, compassion, and understanding in students towards others.3. Integrating Moral Education into the English CurriculumI believe that moral education should not be taught in isolation, but rather integrated into all aspects of the curriculum. As an English teacher, I will incorporate moral values, ethical dilemmas, and character development into the texts, literature, and language learning activities that we engage in. Through discussions, role-playing, and reflective writing assignments, students will have the opportunity to explore and internalize important moral concepts. In addition, I will also introduce and discuss literary works that exemplify positive moral values, such as integrity, honesty, and kindness. By analyzing and discussing these texts, students can gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these values in their own lives.4. Creating a Positive and Respectful Classroom EnvironmentA positive and respectful classroom environment is essential for promoting moral development in students. To achieve this, I will establish clear classroom rules and expectations that emphasize respect, kindness, and empathy. I will also strive to modelthese values in my own behavior and interactions with students, thereby setting a positive example for them to follow.Furthermore, I will encourage open communication and dialogue among students, and create opportunities for them to express their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. By fostering a sense of community and mutual respect, students will feel more comfortable sharing their experiences and learning from each other.5. Organizing Extracurricular ActivitiesIn addition to integrating moral education into the English curriculum, I also plan to organize extracurricular activities that promote moral development and social responsibility. These activities may include volunteer opportunities, community service projects, and charitable initiatives. By participating in these activities, students can gain a greater understanding of the needs of others, and develop a sense of empathy and compassion towards those who are less fortunate.I will also encourage students to take on leadership roles in these activities, giving them the opportunity to develop important character traits such as responsibility, initiative, and teamwork. Through their involvement in these extracurricular activities, students can apply the moral values they have learned in the classroom to real-life situations, and make a positive impact on their community.6. Fostering Empathy and UnderstandingEmpathy and understanding are essential qualities for moral development, and as an English teacher, I will strive to foster these qualities in my students. Through literature, poetry, and other literary works, students will have the opportunity to explore different perspectives, cultures, and experiences. By exposing them to a diverse range of voices and stories, I hope to expand their empathy and understanding of others who may be different from themselves.I will also incorporate discussions and activities that encourage students to consider the feelings and experiences of others, and to think critically about the impact of their words and actions on those around them. By promoting empathy and understanding, I aim to create a more inclusive and compassionate classroom environment, where all students feel accepted and valued.7. Monitoring and EvaluationTo ensure the effectiveness of my moral education work plan, I will regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of my students in terms of their moral development. This may include observing their behavior in the classroom, engaging in open conversations with them, and collecting feedback from parents and other teachers. By continuously assessing the impact of my initiatives, I can make adjustments as needed and tailor my approach to better address the needs of my students. In addition, I will also track the participation and engagement of students in extracurricular activities, and measure the impact of these activities on their moral development. By collecting and analyzing this data, I can gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of my efforts, and make informed decisions about future initiatives.8. ConclusionAs an elementary school fifth grade English teacher, I recognize the pivotal role I play in shaping the moral development of my students. Through the integration of moral values and character education into the English curriculum, the creation of a positive and respectful classroom environment, the organization of extracurricular activities, and the fostering of empathy and understanding, I am confident that I can make a meaningful impact on the moral development of my students. By consistently promoting the importance of good character, ethical behavior, and social responsibility, I hope to instill in my students the values and qualities they need to become compassionate, responsible, and empathetic individuals.。

Good morning!”“How are you?”“Hello!”“Nice to meet you!”“Thank you !”
“Sorry.”
在学习“When do you usually…”
如:在教学“What would you like?”和“Would you like…?”
What‘s the weather
like?”
在学习“How much is it?”
在学习“What’s wrong with you?”
