这招果然很好,很多孩子在课下都积极查找资料想办法来完成。

于是,我就每天都给孩子们留两道这样的作业题。

时间长了,在不知不觉中,孩子们的兴趣调动起来了。

为了最大程度地调动孩子们学习英语的积极性,我又在每天的英语课上给孩子们增加了作业内容。

每天给孩子们留一个英语故事,第二天让学生用汉语讲给大家听,或者让孩子们把一个英语寓言故事用汉语讲给大家听。

这样做起初很有难度,因为小学生的英语单词积累的量有限,翻译起来有难度。

这个不要紧,我把孩子们没有学到的单词先给出来,加以提示。

这样,时间长了,学生们翻译起来也就不是很难了。

但以上做法适合于小学五六年级的学生,三四年级的学生这样做效果就不好了,因为他们还没有这个学习能力。

那么,小学三四年级的学生的英语又应该怎么教呢?我经常留心外地的一些先进的教学经验和教学方法。

有一天我看碟片,看到人家英语老师在教小学三年级孩子学英语时,课堂上基本是以做游戏为主,在游戏的过程中,让孩子感受英语,学得英语单词和会话。

这位老师的做法给了我很大启发,于是,我也改变了我的课堂结构,变过去的老师讲、老师的领读、学生的背诵等为以游戏为主来完成课堂教学。

例如:在教nose,ear等表示身体部位的单词时,我走到学生中间,轻轻地捏捏学生的鼻子、摸摸他们的耳朵等,这样就会使学生感受到教师的亲切、和蔼,并置身于一种轻松、愉快的学习环境中。

由于在当前的小学英语教学中,我们所采用的是新标准英语(三年级起点)的英语教材,学生从三年级才接触到英语,在小学阶段,学生学习英语的时间只有短短的四年时间,在三、四年级教师往往只组织大量的听说活动,而忽视对写的有效训练。

往往学生在学习英语的前两年教师只是布置些书写字母和单词的书写训练。

到了五、六年级教师在英语教学中大多是让学生抄抄课文和句子,写作训练只有在练习册中出现了写作题型才进行操练。

主要原因是现在的教材在重视听说训练的同时,对写的内容安排很少,而且小学英语教师一人要教多班、平时课时数少教师也无法对学生的写作一一做出相应的指导。

另外,教师中仍存着一些错误的认识:写作在测试卷中占得分数比例较少,只要把历年来考过的英语写作试题归纳好范文让给学生背背就可以了,到时就会考试,不要过多花费时间训练写作。

1.2 问题分析小学生在英语写作中之所以会碰到这些问题是有成因的。

首先是小学英语教师对写作教学没有引起重视,课标要求和教材编写没有统一,尽管课标要求学生在毕业前要达到二级写作标准,但是教材上并没有出现写作的任何教学题型。

其次是在小学阶段,由于学生学习英语的时间较少,一周才两节课,还没构成用英语思维的能力,在写作上就会受中文的影响,用中文式的语句表达英文的句子,这是小学生英语写作的一大难题。

第三是当前学校教学注重口头表达,忽视笔头训练。

2. 采用切实有效的方法提高小学生英语写作能力2.1 英语词汇的积累,是打下英语写作的基石在小学,英语写作即使只要求写篇幅简短的短文,但是没有积累一定量的英语词汇,学生是不可能连词成句写出通顺、句式正确、语法正确的语句。

因此在教学中,为了消除学生对枯燥乏味词汇学习的厌恶感,教师要采用生动有趣的教学方式,激发学生学习的兴趣. 例如:在教学新标准英语(三年级起点)第一册module 3 unit1 window,door, blackboard,bird等物品时,用多媒体课件向学生展示教学的图片,课件上出现的tweet-tweet(是只小鸟bird)向同学们一一介绍班级的东西,出现window说it is a window,再出示door说it is a door.学生会被这生动有趣课件上的tweet-tweet吸引,从而自发地学习本课的英语词汇与句型。

这种教学方法充分调动了学生学习主动性,使他们全身心地投入学习,强化记忆。

此外,在词汇教学的巩固阶段,还可设置“touch and guess”游戏。

课前教师把一些词汇的实物(或玩具)置于“magic box”中,请一位同学上讲台,摸“magic box”中的实物(或玩具),并猜一猜这是什么。

给他三次机会并用新标准英语(三年级起点)第一册module 8 unit1中的句型“is it a...?”进行猜测。

当他猜错时,全班同学齐说no,it isn’t.;当他猜对时,全班同学齐说yes,it is.并说出该单词。

这样的教学环节既可以让课堂教学增加趣味性,又可以让学生在欢乐的学习气氛中巩固新学词汇。

这样学生久而久之积累的词汇就能为英语写作做好铺垫,从而打下了英语写作的基石。

2.2 阅读技巧的训练,是提高英语写作的有效途径提高英语写作的有效途径就是要加强阅读技巧的训练。

在小学阶段,用于阅读的材料的难度应该低于学生所学课文的难度,不熟悉的阅读材料还可再降低难度。

在教学中,教师可指导学生在每一课或每一段读完之后概括大意,注意段与段之间的联系;要训练学生不出声,不动唇,用眼睛迅速浏览读物的习惯,这样阅读速度的加快有利于增强阅读的效果;教师还可设计练习的类型尽可能接近学生认知的实际。

比如让学生在阅读时作读书笔记,将所收集的材料运用于口、笔头语言活动之中,是提高语言技能的好途径。

例如在教学新标准英语(三年级起点)第八册module 8 unit 1 helen keller.在教授课文时,我主要采用任务型教学法,第一遍阅读课文时,我让学生边阅读课文边做读书笔记,把课文主要内容归纳出来。

第二遍阅读时,我根据课文内容提出问题让学生回答。

我的问题设计如下:when was helen keller born? where was she born? what happened to her? what did she learn? what did she write?how old did she live? is helen keller a model for all the people?学生可根据老师提出的问题有目的性的阅读课文找出答案,从而也达到了理解课文的大意,达到了教学的最终目标。

第三遍阅读课文时学生已经基本上可以翻译课文内容,无需老师一字一句的解释给学生们听。

这不仅培养了学生自主学习的好习惯,而且通过广泛的阅读,能让学生积累大量的英语词汇,形成良好的英语语感,为学生更好地写作打下了坚实的基础。

2.3 题型多样化的训练,是巩固英语写作的坚实后盾。

学生通过阅读的方式还是在课堂上学习所积累的词汇、培养的语感等,还不足以顺利地进行英语写作。

教师需要对学生进行多样化英语写作题型的训练,由浅入深、由易到难、循序渐进地领着学生进行训练。

我们小学阶段写作教学可以采取多种形式。

在日常的英语写作教学中一般采用以下常见的手法。

(1)看图写问句与答句这是一种有提示词的问答,一般用于四年级学生的写作题,学生按图片中所指的事物设问与回答。

通过抄写可以提高学生对句型的理解与运用能力。

例如,我在教新标准英语(三年级起点)第三册module8 unit1 what are you going to do?时,写作练习设计如下:根据图片内容,仿照例句进行写作。

例句:a: what are you going to do?b: i’m going to play basketball.(2)用词造句及连词成文教师可将课文中的重点词汇或词组短语列出来,要求学生用他们造句,可以先口头造然后把句子写下来,然后利用他们所造的句子构成一篇意义连贯的短文。

这类练习有利于培养学生运用词汇和短语的能力,同时能促使他们积极思维,联成的短文往往会增强学生的成就感。

例如在教学新标准英语(三年级起点)第七册module8 unit1 i often go swimming.这一单元时,要求学生能灵活运用often\sometimes\never\always这四个频率副词。

课后我设计了如下表格,让学生通过填写表1,然后完成练习2的写作练习一:根据自己的实际情况,完成下表。

练习二:根据所填写的内容完成下面的写作。

on sunday, i学生在完成练习一时,教师可以让学生先进行口头练习,小组成员互相说说周日自己都做了什么,用上本节课新学习的四个频率副词,然后再进行英语写作,这就大大降低了学生对写作的难度,从而增强了学生的自信心。

(3)看图写作教师可将图呈现给学生,指导学生根据画面内容写成短文。

在让学生练习作文时要给予必要的范例与辅导,教导学生看图作文必须紧扣画面,仔细认真观察,注意细节描写。

在小学阶段,看图作文还应提供相应的提示词,从而降低写作难度。

例如,在教《新标准英语(三年级起点)》第七册第二模块后,我归纳了这个模块重点知识,主要掌握了there is …和there are …句型结构的基本用法,给出图片让学生进行仿写。

例如:look at the picture. there is a zoo.(4)改写课文在学完某篇课文后,让学生模仿该课文的结构,尽量模仿与运用它的表达形式与词汇,改变课文内容,改变人物,改变时间等。

例如,在学习了《新标准英语(三年级起点)》第六册第二模块后,让学生模仿课文内容,改写成自己的一次旅游经历。

原文如下:in july,lingling went to xinjiang with her parents.xinjiang is in the west of china.she rode a horse.she climbed the tianshan mountain.she visited the tianchi lake. it was very beautiful. she had a lovely time there.学生仿写课文如下:in august, i went to beijing with my parents.beijing is in the north of china. i visited the great wall、the summer palace and the tiananmen square. they were very beautiful. i had a lovely time there.英语写作作为英语学习的基本技能之一,它与听、说、读这三样技能一样重要。

要想学好英语,缺一不可。

我们要消除以往在教学中只重视口语练习而忽略笔头练习的错误观念,学习英语不仅需要学生大胆的说出来而且也需要学生写出来。

所以我们教师与学生都应给予它高度的重视。

学生学习写作的潜力是巨大的,只要教师采用正确的教学方式,引导和启发学生,让孩子们多加练习写作,学生的英语写作水平一定会得到进一步的提高。
