现在进行时构成法

现在进行时由助动词be的现在式（am，is，are）＋现在分词（动词原形＋ ing）构成。现以动词work为例，将现在进行时的肯定式、否定式和疑问式列表如下：

现在进行时表现在

❶现在进行时所表的动作正在说话人的说话时刻进行，可与now，at present，at this moment，today，this week，these days，this year 等时间状语连用。如：

—What are you doing?

—你在干什么？

—I am writing.

—我正在写字。

How are you feeling today?

你今天感觉如何？

Tom is tired of whiskey and he is drinking gin these days.

汤姆厌倦了威士忌，这些天改喝杜松子酒了。

例题：

What are the boys doing? They trees on the hill.

A. plants

B. plant

C. will plant

D. are planting

【答案选D】问题与答句时态一致，问句用现在进行时，答句也应该是现在进行时。

❷英语里有少数瞬间动词，如jump，hit，kick，knock，nod，tap，wink，cough，meet，shoot，drop等，用进行时态表动作的重复性。如：

The boy is jumping with joy.

那男孩高兴得在跳呢。

Someone is knocking.

有人敲门。

The stars are winking in the sky.

群星在空中闪烁。

The water is dropping down slowly.

水在慢慢下滴。

❸有些表示“过程”的动词，如change，get，come，mature，widen，deteriorate等，用进行时态表示逐渐的含义。如：The weather is changing for the better.

天气逐渐好起来了。

His health is improving each day.

他的健康在逐日好转。

The dress is wearing thin.

这衣服已逐渐磨薄了。

She is maturing into a self-possessed and articulate young woman.

她逐渐变作一个镇定自若、言谈清晰的年轻女性。

❹表示某种感情色彩，常与always，constantly等词连用。如：

Brian is living a happy life.

布莱恩过着幸福的生活。

Frieda is always complaining.

弗里达总是在抱怨。

My father is forever criticizing me.

我父亲总是批评我。

现在进行时与时间状语连用

❶现在进行时除与now，at present等时间状语连用外，还常与不少副词或相当于副词的词语连用，如：only，just，simply，really，actually，merely，fast，rapidly，slowly，finally，constantly，continually，always，already，for ever，all the time等。如：

We are certainly not recognizing such a fantastic claim.

对如此荒唐的要求，我们自然不予承认。

Trade between the two countries is finally beginning to take off.

两国之间终于开始进行贸易了。

The train is now rapidly approaching the city of Beijing.

火车现在正迅速地临近北京城。

Everybody is always supposing that I am not a good swimmer.

大家都认为我游泳一向很差。

例题：

—Could I speak to the headmaster?

—I m afraid not. He a talk to the teachers now.

A. gave

B. has given

C. is giving

D. was giving

【答案选C】now表示现在或正在，用现在进行时。

01. 现在进行时用在从句中

现在进行时除用在when从句外，还可以用在while，as等连词引导的时间状语从句中。如：

She stands in an impatient silence while she is thus being talked over.

在这样被进行说服时，她一直站在那里，很不耐烦，却又一声不吭。

When you are talking to the children, you use simple words and phrases.

当你同孩子们谈话时，你用的是简单的词语。

He passes out as he is standing up.

他站起来时昏了过去。

02.现在进行时用于无限动词与静态动词

❶无限动词如用进行时态，强调动作的临时性。如：

Where are you living?

你住在哪里？（are living强调动作的临时性）

What are you waiting for?

你等什么呢？

She is keeping her intentions to herself.
