Based on a true story, S chindler’s List is Steven Spielberg's epic drama of World War II. Schindler's list released in 1994, the film reflected the German Nazis killed the Jews’ crimes. It became the most popular movie in that year; and in the 66th Oscar Academy Award, the film won 6 gold medals. In the movie, the director shows Oscar Schindler who greed, cunning to the audience; but last growing into a hero who rescue more than 1100 Jewish. Through narrative of this film, I had an analysis of how Oscar Schindler becomes a hero from a man.

Schindler is one of the leading roles through the whole film. There is large different in character molding of other films, the director present a vivid true Schindler for us. As is known to all, everyone has his/her faults, as an idiom say, Gold cannot be pure and man cannot be perfect. Schindler is no exception. Saving lives is great, but he is still the one as ordinary people. There are his weaknesses.

At the beginning of the film, Schindler is a mercenary businessman; he only cares about money and how earns money in fast, effective and safe ways. When Starn told him the Polish workers are much higher than the Jewish workers, he had no thorough consideration and then answered, “Poles cost more, why should I hire Poles?" This is the original Schindler, and also gives a first impression in the whole movie.

In the social, Schindler had graceful bearing, and spent lots of money. He used his idiomatic ways to bribed German officers, and he became the one of them. Here we can see Schindler is a sociable businessman, and he this series of action is to give him for more money. Above all, this is the embodiment of his cunning. However, I think he as a businessman, joining the German Nazi party, and then becoming the Nazi party member, the reason is also to seek more profits in the business.

For his family, he is not a good husband. In the film, Schindler need a secretary. There are many ladies coming; even though young and beautiful girls typing technology is

very poor, Schindler still smile and close to them more; while the one old lady having fastest typing speed, but Schindler ignored her in the whole process. What’s more, he always took his secretaries to home, and slept with them. This segment reflects Schindler’s lewd side, and this is also one of his human weaknesses.

For a long time in the film, Schindler shows us a cunning wise businessman image. He proud of he had a wise accounting; after accepting the old single arm man's thank, he scolded Starn. From these views, we can see that Schindler is a standard businessman. Although he hired the Jews, in a sense, he saved the Jews lives; the Schindler did not realize this. In a movie scene, Stan e forgot his job card and he was put on the train. When the train started, Schindler saved him. At this time, there is an overhead shot, Schindler saved a life, and he was put in a high position. Stan behind him this show Schindler's tall; But at this time, Schindler is still a pure businessman. He is a man, not a hero.

At the beginning of the film, Schindler only wanted to make more money, he didn’t realize the way can save Jews lives in that dangerous moment; but Stern did. As a shrewd Jewish, stern found that using this method can save a lot of Jewish life, so he employed many old and weak people into the factory. At last, Schindler found his this kind of behavior; then rebuked him. He thinks this behavior would be out of pocket. At that time Schindler didn't care about other people's lives, but money. With time flies, something in his heart were changing.

He could understand why stern do these, finally, he thought stern is right. Stein like a model teaches Schindler what he should do and how to be a good man.

When saved a man who had single arm, Schindler scolded Stern; but when the single- arm old man came to thank Schindler’ kind action, Schindler shamed accepted it.

As for himself, he thinks he did nothing, but he is a good person in other people’s eyes. It is an impor tant motivation to encourage Schindler’s change in his own heart.
