蔡龙云

汉族,山东济宁人,1928年11月

生。中共党员。上海体育学院教授、

博士生导师,我国著名武术家、首批

武术九段,国际级武术裁判。国家体

育总局武术研究院专家委员会主任。

我国著名武术理论家、教育家、新中

国武术科研和竞赛训练的开拓者和

奠基人之一。

曾任上海体育学院武术教研室

主任、体育系副主任,上海市武术协

会副主席,上海市职工武术气功协会

主席,国家体委武术研究院副院长,

中国武术协会副主席,中国武术学会

副主任,中华全国体育总会委员,第

七届全国政协委员。

幼年习武,擅长华拳、少林、太

极、形意诸技,尤精技击。1943年、

1946年,先后在上海与西洋拳击家比

赛,以中国拳法击败俄国拳击家马索

洛夫、美国重量级拳击冠军鲁赛尔,

被人们誉为“神拳大龙”。1953年,在

全国民族形式体育竞赛暨表演大会上

获“优秀奖”;后入选国家队并兼任

政治辅导员。1956年开始,屡任国际、

国内武术比赛裁判长、总裁判长,第

11届亚运会任武术竞赛委员会主任。

多年从事武术教学、科研和管

理,卓有建树。著有《武术运动基本

训练》《华拳》《剑术》《少林寺拳

棒阐宗》《琴剑楼武术文集》等专著

十余部。曾主编我国第一部《武术竞

赛规则》,参与编写全国体育院校通

用《武术》教材。在报纸杂志上发表

学术性、技术性、知识性文章七十余

篇。

为武术事业作出卓著的贡献,

1959年被国家体委授予“第一届全国

运动会先进个人”;1983年任全国武

术遗产挖掘整理工作组副组长,第二

年国家体委授予“全国武术挖整工作

先进个人”;1985年被评为“全国体育

优秀裁判员”;同年,被授予“新中国

体育开拓者”荣誉奖章;1988年荣膺

中国国际武术节“武术贡献奖”。1991

年起,享受国务院颁发的“政府特殊

津贴”;2008年,上海市教育委员会

A Brief Introduction about Mr. Cai Longyun

Cai Longyun Han Nationality, from Jining in east China’s Shandong Province, born in November 1928. Member of the Communist Party of China. Professor of Shanghai University of Sport and doctoral supervisor. China’s famous martial artist, Ninth-Dan of Chinese wushu (martial arts) in the first group, and international-level wushu referee. Director of the Expert Committee of Wushu Research Institute under the State Sport General Administration. Famous theorist and educator of wushu in China, and one of New China’s pioneers and founders in scientific research, competition and training of wushu. Formerly taking the positions as Director of Wushu Teaching and Research Section and Associate Dean of Physical Education Department in Shanghai University of Sport, Vice President of Shanghai Wushu Association, President of Shanghai Workers’ Wushu Qigong Association, Deputy Director of Wushu Research Institute under the former State Physical Culture and Sports Commission, Vice President of Chinese Wushu Association, Deputy Director of Chinese Wushu Society, committee member of All-China Sports Federation, and member of the Seventh CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference).Learning wushu from childhood, Mr. Cai is good at huaquan (essence boxing), taijiquan (a kind of traditional Chinese shadow boxing), xingyiquan (form and will boxing) and various techniques, especially adept in attacking and defending skills. In 1943 and 1946, he had competitions with western boxers in Shanghai, defeated boxer Marsolov (transliteration) from Russia and American heavyweight champion winner Lusire (transliteration) in succession with his Chinese boxing, and was praised as “Big Dragon with Magical Boxing” by people. In 1953, he gained the “Award of Excellence” at the National Form Sports Competition and Performance of General Assembly, and was later selected into the national team and held a concurrent post as the political instructor. From 1956, he assumed as the head referee and chief referee at international and national wushu competitions for many times, and also held the post as the Director of Wushu Competition Committee at the 11th Asian Games.He has been for years engaged in teaching, scientific research and management of wushu, and has scored a great deal of achievements with a dozen of monographs, including “Basic Training of Wushu Sports”, “Huaquan”, “Swordsmanship”, “Boxing and Club Masters of Shaolin Temple”, “Collected Wushu Works in Zither and Sword Tower”. He also supervised the edition and publication of China’s first “Wushu Comptition Rules”, and participated in the writing of “Wushu” as a common teaching material for national physical education institutes. Besides, he published more than 70 academic, technical and knowledgeable articles on newspapers and journals.Mr. Cai has made an outstanding contribution to wushu career. In 1959, he was awarded by the former State Physical Culture and Sports Commission with the title of “Advanced Individual in the First National Sports Games”. In 1983, he was the deputy head of the excavation and sorting-out working group for national wushu inheritance, and was awarded as the “Advance Individual in National Wushu Excavation and Sorting-out Work” by the former State Physical Culture and Sports Commission in the next year. In 1985, he was rated as the “National Excellent Sports Referee”, and was awarded the Medal of Honor for “New China Sports Pioneer” the same year. In 1988, he won the “Wushu Contribution Prize” at China International Wushu Festival. Since 1991, he has enjoyed the “Special Government Allowance” issued by the State Council. In 2008, Shanghai Education Commission established the “Master Cai Longyun

Studio” for him.
