She is a fine singer,as her mother used to be.

She is the same age as you (are).

[与same...as 连用]

I hope to get such a dictionary as h e is using. [与such...as连用]

As water is to fish, so air is to ma n.

She has married again,as was/seeme d natural.

2、as常与从句中的know,see,hear,expect等动词连用,也常用于as often hap pens,as is often the case(常有的事)等句子中。

As you know, he is from Beijing.

As is known to everybody, the moo n travels round the earth once every mo nth.

He was absent,as is often the case

As you will find out, all is now settled.

As you will find out,I will never le t you down.

She has married again,which was u nexpected.

5. The burst of the gas pipes happene

d th

e other day, which shocked all o

f u s.

David, as you know, is a photograo pher. (不可用which)

Li Ming is late, as is often the case. (不可用which)

Li Ming was late, which (=and this) made Mr. Zhang very angry. (不可用as)

He married her, which was unexpec ted. (不可用as)

4. as有“正如”之意,而which则意为“这(件事,一点)”,可用and this/that/ it来代替。

5. as多用于固定搭配中:as is often t he case(这是常有的事),as was expected (不出所料),as often happens(正如经常发生的那样),as is known to all(众所周知),as has been said before(如上所述),as is mentioned above(正如上面所提到的)等。

注:which 代表整个句子,还可用于i n which case, at which point, on which occasion等。如:

I may have to work late, in which case I’ll telephone you.
