在If only 引导的惊叹句中。表示现在或将来 的谓语动词用过去式；表示过去的谓语动 词用 had + 过去分词。如：
• 1).If I could only see him once.(我只要见 到他一次就好了。)
• 2).If only we had listened to their advice.(我们要是听了他们的意见就好了。)
It is + adj .+that ….
如果形容词是下面这些词，那么that 后面的 从句用(should) +do 的形式：
(1) suggested, ordered, proposed, required, demanded, requested, insisted；
(2) important, necessary, natural, strange

• 表示看法、命令、建议性的动词如： demand, order, suggest, insist, require 等 等，后面的宾语从句用虚拟语气，其结构 为 “should + 动词原形”，should可以省 略， 为了帮助记住这些动词，把这些动词
的首字母编成 “I DROP CAPS.”一句话。
在It is ( high) time that…句型中，从句的谓 语动词一般用“过去式或should/ought to + 动词原形”的虚拟结构，意思是“该干某 事了”。如：
• 1). It is time we did/ should do our work.
• 2). It is time we should go / went to bed.

the task. • If you hadn’t helped me • i could have gone with you but I was too

与上述词有关的主语从句、表语从句和同 位语从句也要用 “should + 动词原形”， should可以省略。如：
1).We all agreed to his suggestion that we ( should ) leave here at once. 2). It is required that you ( should ) start before seven o’clock . 3).My order is that everyone ( should ) complete their own work in time.
在 would rather之后的宾语从句中，从句的 谓语形式有两种：用过去式表示现在或将 来要做的事情；用过去完成式表示过去做 的事情。如：
• 1).I’d rather you went to the concert with me this evening.
• 2).I would rather you had attended the meeting yesterday.

虚拟语气是一种动词形式， 表示说话人的一种假设， 愿望，怀疑，猜测， 建 议等含义，虚拟语气所表 示的含义不是客观存在的 事实。

如果if 引导的虚拟条件句中，有should, （助动 词）had 或were时，可省略if但从句中的主语与 谓语要倒装。如：
• 1).If you had taken my advice, you wouldn’t have failed in the examination.
=Had you taken my advice, you wouldn’t have failed in the examination.
=Should there be a flood, what should we do?
• 错综时间条件虚拟句 • If I had bought a car yesterday, I would
take you to the airport now.
如果我听你的建议，我现在就不会后悔了 If I had follow your advice, I would not
