As a student majoring in computer science, I have recently got a
part-time “job” in the field of culture— serving as an agony sister to a
roommate who is so angry with her boyfriend. Two weeks ago, she asked
her boyfriend to send her a love letter on her forthcoming birthday. This
young gentleman did hand in the “assignment” on time — a big and
beautiful envelope containing something. Much pleased, she opened it. To

It goes without saying that we young people have benefited a lot from
the unprecedented progress of science and technology. But are we happy?
Have we found the true meaning of life? The Internet is so convenient that
we can contact each other in a minute, but how much time have we spent
together with our family and friends? Automobiles can get us anywhere we
want, but how often do we get close to Mother Nature? We might be living
