Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 The research background, purpose and significance

1.1.1 Research Background

Today, China is one of the fastest growing countries in the world that impresses everyone with its rapid economic growth. China has played a tremendous role in the world economy. As for purchasing power, we can trace that goods produced in China that are in great demand. The economic system in this country is enormously big and complicated. Moreover, Chinese economic system continues to evolve its magnitude increases.

New Year's Eve, HSBC bank released a study. According to it in 2013, the leader of the global economic development became China. According to the bank forecasts that U.S. economic growth is less than 2%, the Eurozone negative growth is 0.2%. Russia showed GDP growth by only 2.5%, Brazil - 3%, India - 5.7% , but Chinese GDP growth was 8.6%. The time has proved that this is a fact, and there is no doubt that the close cooperation with China has undeniable benefits for Russia[1].

The partnership between Russia and China is an important issue in the political debate about the priorities and perspectives of Russian foreign policy and directions of economic development of the country. The special relevance of this issue has become, when in April 1996, the government o f Russia adopted the “Joint Declaration about the basic principles of relations between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation". This document was first officially announced equitable trust partnership focused on strategic interaction in the twenty-first century. According to the Chinese side, the distinguishing feature of the new relationship is strategic interaction, which is opposed to the Union. Interaction is seen as a more optimal form of relationship than the Union. This can be seen as a serious qualitative progress in relations China-Russia, especially on the Russian side (Alexandrov, 2011)[2].

Trade and economic relations of Russia with China have a long history and are characterized by a notable development in recent years. Volume of trade is growing,
