《航海英语阅读(高)》课程教学大纲

一、课程的性质和任务

课程性质:《航海英语阅读》(高)是海洋船舶驾驶专业的一门必修课。是国家海事局船员考证科目之一。

主要任务:《航海英语》课程的任务是介绍与海船驾驶专业有关的英语文章及英版航海图书资料、文献以及重要的法规文件等及其常用术语、词汇/词组;介绍不同类型文章的风格、特点以及阅读技巧与方法;训练学生航海专业英文资料的阅读、理解和一定的写作与翻译的基本技能,帮助学员通过航海英语科目的考证。

四、课堂教学的基本要求

教学环节包括:学生快速阅读并回答简单问题;课堂讲授;重点概括;根据课文回答问题;口头复述课文;重点短语听写;考试考查等。

1、课堂讲授

(1)教学方法

采用启发式教学,培养学生思考问题,分析问题和解决的能力,引导和鼓励学生在课堂上通过快速阅读提高阅读理解能力,增加小组讨论和口头回答,培养学生对课文重点的概括能力等教学环节。

(2)教学手段

在教学中采用多媒体教学系统;直观图片等先进手段。

2、对课堂教学效果的检测

每一课讲完后,安排复习操练时间。通过对课文内容的提问来检测学生是否理解课文内容;同时要求学生在老师示范或提示关键词的情况下,对课文的主要内容

进行复述,锻炼学生的口语能力。
