The supermarket doors shut automatically. (说明主语的属性——窗户有问题了) The window won’t be shut. (不强调动作执行者) The door was suddenly opened.

The book sells quickly. This cheese doesn’t cut easily. It’s too soft. This shirt will wear very long. (即这句子没有歧义) The sentences are read clearly. Is the book selling well? The play ended at ten o’clock.

His novel sells well. The car drove easily. Your pen writes quite smoothly. This shirt feels much softer than that one. That book smells old. These oranges taste nice. The magazine is binding(printing). He paid all that was owing. The meat is cooking. After working selflessly in here for several years, Mr Li got promoted at last. They got delayed because of the holiday traffic. The buttons on my coat came undone. The woman's complaints went unnoticed. 5.在need(want, require, deserve, etc.)doing句型中,动名词(doing)相当于动词不定式的被动式(to be done),在意思上没有多大差别。 The garden needs watering(to be watered). The problem requires studying(to be studied) with great care. These jobs want doing(to be done) at once.

例如以下的一道选择题:The cotton very soft.(棉花摸起来很软)A、is felt B、feels C、was felt D、feel这道题的正确答案是B,而往往很多同学选择A。 This kind of cloth feels very soft. The music sounds beautiful. The cake smells nice. The meat tastes terrible. 如:The bike needs mending. Your hair wants cutting. The story requires reading carefully. The book is well worth reading. The clock isn’t worth repairing. The film is worth seeing. Is English difficult to learn? The maths problem is not easy to work out. I think apples are nice to eat. 如:The door won’t lock. This kind of colour TV sells well. Does the cloth wash well? The shop opens at eight in the morning. I have lots of homework to do today. I want to get something to drink. Would you like something to eat?

The garden doesn't need watering, it rained last night. The carpet really requires cleaning. This sentence needs explaining once more.=This sentence needs to be explained once more. 常见的动词有:sell, wash, write, wear, open, shut, lock, close, start, begin, read, tear, boil, burn, grow, break, change, weigh, measure等。 His books sell well, so they are sold out soon. The door won't open, so we'll ask the repairman to open it. We measured the bridge and it measures 20 metres long! I tasted the wine and it tasted wonderful! This dictionary is expensive, but it is worth buying. 5. 在be to blame, be to let, be to seek等结构中,也用主动形式表被动含义。如: Nobody is to blame for the accident. Te new edition of Longman dictionary is printing. 如:heavy, light, big, strong, nice, beautiful, easy, hard, difficult, fit, comfortable, dangerous 等。如: She is a nice person to work with. ②too+形容词+to do及形容词+enough+to do结构也适合这一类。

We have bought a new computer. A new computer has been bought. A new computer have been bought. My uncle gave me a present on my birthday. I was given a present on my birthday. A present was given to me yesterday. 注意:

1.一般在下列动词后,常在间接宾语前用介词to,如:bring, give, hand, lend, offer, pass, pay, promise, sell, show, take, teach, tell 等。 (1) The book was showed to the class. (2) My bike was lent to her. 2.一般在下列动词后,间接宾语前用介词for, 如:build, buy, cook, cut, choose, do, fetch, find, fix, get, keep, make, order, paint, play, sing 等。 (1) A new skirt was made for me. (2) The meat was cooked for us. (3) Some country music was played for us. 3. 这类动词有:不及物动词+ 介词,如: agree to, ask for, laugh at, operated on, listen to, look after, think of, talk about 等。 The patient is being operated on. T he problem is solved. It needn't be talked about.

常见的有taste(吃起来), sound (听起来), prove(证明是), feel(摸上去感到)等,例如: Your reason sounds reasonable. Good medicine tastes bitter to the mouth. 常用的有: lock(锁住), shut(关上) , open(打开), act(上演)等,例如: The door won't open. It can't move. 3)一些与well(很), easily(容易地), perfectly(十分地)等连用的动词,如: sell(销售) , wash(洗), clean(打扫), burn(燃烧), cook(煮)等,例如: The book sells well. These clothes wash well. This material has worn thin. The dust has blownsintosthe house. These young seedlings will require/need looking after (=need to be looked after) carefully. Your hair wants/needs cutting (needs to be cut). He has a family to support. There is a lot of work to do. There is so much work to do/to be done.

起来(7 个):look/seem/appear, feel(感觉,摸起来),sou nd, smell, taste e.g. She seems/appears happy. It smells terrible. ③(逐渐)变得 /变成: become, grow, get, turn, come, go e.g. His wish has come true. People often went hungry in the old days. The tree is growing tall. ④保持: keep, stay e.g. We must keep quiet in the reading room. 1、happen, take place, break out, belong to ,cost, take Ol、An accident was happened yesterday. An accident happened yesterday. O2、 The flower smells sweet. O3、 The watch looks good. O4、 This book sells well. O5、 The kind of cloth washes well. O6、 The article reads well. O7、 The supermarket opens at 8:00 in the morning. 08、The door won ' t close/sh这门关不上。 O9、 The door locks easily.

如: He needs encouraging. Your hair wants cutting. The front gate requires mending. He needs to be encouraged. Your hair wants to be cut. The front gate requires to be mended. The film is worth seeing twice. None of it is worth keeping. They merit praising. They deserved to be congratulated. She deserved to win because she was the best. I don’t think his article deserves reading. =I don’t think his article deserves to be read.

That won't bear thinking of. The little girl can't stand criticizing.

Your idea sounds a good one. My advice proved to be wrong.

How sweet the music sounds! The flowers smell sweet. That sounds very reasonable. The pen writes quite smoothly. The book sells well. It's too good a chance to miss. The potatoes are cooking. The dictionary is printing. My car needs/wants/requires repairing.=My car needs/wants/requires to be repaired. There is nothing to do — I'm bored. There are six letters to write tonight. A better way is to seek. Nobody is to blame for the accident.

John helped Peter. ----- Peter was helped by John. They punished the criminal. ----- The criminal was punished. 2. They should do the work at once. ----- The work should be done at once. They must have finished their work. ----- Their work must have been finished. He is likely to let you down. ------ You are likely to be let down. They offered him some assistance. ----- He was offered some assistance. ----- Some assistance was offered to him. Father gave me a watch. ----- I was given a watch. ----- A watch was given to me. We have painted the windows white. ----- The windows have been painted white. They elected Tom monitor of the class. ---- Tom was elected monitor of the class. Hamlet was written by Shakespeare. Susan was cheated by David. He arrived at London where he was met by his friend. Practice 1.They built this house in 1968. 2.People speak English almost all over the world. 3.No one has ever beaten him at once. 4.They use milk for making butter and cheese. 5.They are repairing my piano at the moment. 6. Somebody had cleaned my shoes. 7.He said they were starting a new system. 8.You can’t wash this dress; you must dry-clean it. 9.They will have to adopt a different attitude. 10.People mustn’t leave bicycles in the hall.
