在大力倡导推广素质教育的当下,英语教学理念也在悄然发生着一系列的变化。英语教学,对于其教学质量的评价已经不再单纯是以学生掌握多少词汇量、考试成绩能的多少分来进行判断的,而是将学生对英语这门语言学科的掌握程度及运用能力作为重要的评价指标。基于素质教学的这一教学要求,英语必须要加强课堂教学改革,实现有效的课堂教学。

一、影响英语课堂有效教学的因素

1.重视学生知识掌握情况而忽略其语言运用能力。

目前仍有相当一部分的教师在课堂教学过程中,利用全部的时间来进行相关英语怨言知识的讲解,以期能够不断地巩固、强化教学效果,一味追求知识的掌握,而忽略了学生语言运用能力的培养。例如,人教版新版中出现的话题形式,要求教师要对教材进行深入的研究开发,以教材为依托延伸教学内容,培养学生的语言运用能力。但是绝大多数的教师仍然采取的是单词讲解、句型、语法介绍,加布置习题的陈旧教学方式。导致整个英语教学枯燥乏味、学生提不起学习兴趣,课堂教学无法取得有效的成果。

2.课堂活动流于形式收效甚微。

由于缺乏有力的组织和管控,学生在课堂活动中会出现无所适从、置身事外的现象,导致课堂活动流于形式,无法获得有效的辅助教学效果。

3.学生对英语学习无兴趣。

由于传统的英语课堂教学方法缺失趣味性,因此很容易导致绝大多数的学生不喜欢上英语课,学习态度消极,积极性较差。
