Good morning everyone. Today I want to share a football superstar with you. Contrast with Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, he is not
well-known this time. But he is one of the greatest forwards in first decade of 21 century. He is my idol, and his name is Andriy Shevchenko.
He is the Ukrainian legend of a beauty in football field. Shevchenko was born in 德沃基夫斯纳Ukraine on September 29, 1976. Because of his hometown is near to Chernobyl, the Chernobyl Disaster casted a shadow over his childhood, but the Disaster also taught him to be brave to face difficulties. After many years, he got a name “Ukrainian nuclear warhead”, and many fans preferred to call him “Sheva” .That means “seven” in Hebrew, just as same as his jersey number.
He began his career in 1993, when he joined in Dynamo Kiev. In the 1997-98 season, Shevchenko helped Dynamo Kiev into the Champions League semi-final with eight goals. Especially in the quarter-finals, he scored hat-trick at the Nou camp in the first half, and finally Dynamo Kiev four than zero victory over the Spanish giants Barcelona. And this made him famous in the whole of Europe.
On July 1, 1999,Shevchenko transferred to the Serie A giants AC Milan. Then , He reached the top of his career. He is the first foreign aid to get the golden boot in his first Serie A League in the history of Serie A. And he helped Milan won the Champions League, which had been
separated 9 years. After then, he helped Milan won the Seire A League, which had been separated 5 years, and he realized the beginning of another Milan dynasty.
On July 14,2004,Shevchenko married his beautiful bride Christiana, and this year he won the Golden Ball award.
In May 2006,after 7years when he came to AC Milan, he decided to leave, because of considering his family. Then he selected to transfer Chelsea, which is one of Premiership giants. He was filled with confidence to meet new challenges, and he hoped to be one of Chelsea until retirement. But because of injury problems and the increase of the age, he had to leave. In 2009, he returned to Dynamo Kiev.
In Ukrainian national team, he is the absolute leader. In 2006,he led the team have the first opportunity to participate in the World Cup, and rushed into the final 8.
On December 9, 2010,Shevchenko announced that he would end his career after euro 2012.But now, he is still on the way.
I love him, not only because he is a superstar, but also because of his individual glamour. He once said "Don't put me as a idol, I still want to constantly strive ".。
