既然如此，准备2013年9月入学的同学们，从现在开始应该怎样准备签证申请呢?首先，了解什么是CAS?根据英国边境署(UKBA)规定，从2010年2月22日起，所有准备申请英国计点积分制第四阶段(Tier 4)签证的学生，必须提供一份由其担保方(即英国境内的教育机构)出具的学习录取确认函(CAS-Confirmation Acceptance of Studies)。
而对于即将赴英国大学就读的留学生而言，CAS即是英国大学的电子录取通知书，是英国大学发给海外学生的一个特别的电子参考号码。
此电子参考号对应的课程信息具有唯一性，即一个CAS对应一门课程。
专家指出，CAS也是申请学生签证的必要材料之一，其内容包括申请者的个人信息、学习背景以及英国大学的相关电子编码信息，签证官在获取CAS号码后可以联网查询申请者相关信息资料。
如今，CAS替代了原有的纸质的签证信，学生只需要提供一个CAS号码，就可以完成英国留学签证申请。
英国大学通常把CAS号码通过E-Mail发给学生，所以,CAS也称为E-CAS。
CAS号码的有效期为6个月，每个英国学校发放CAS号码的数量有限，所以，学校必须加强对学生申请的审理，确保拿到CAS的学生都是有真实学习目的和足够学习能力的学生。
CAS与英国大学OFFER的区别?英国大学Offer是学校愿意接受学生申请的一个意向，学生向学校递交申请材料后，通过该学校审核，符合入学资格者就可获得学校Offer。
而CAS是学生接受该英国大学Offer后，向学校交付第一次学费预付金预留学位后，学校发给学生的留学确认书。
留学生获得CAS需满足2个条件：1、交付学费时，该英国大学Offer依然有效(一般要求在4-6周内确认);2、交付学费时，所申请专业还有空位(英国大学采用先确认先得到的原则，申请早晚没有关系，关键在于什么时候确认)。
学生拿到英国大学Offer不代表已经确定获得了学校录取，只有缴交过学费换取了CAS后才可以确定真正意义上的被录取。
校方有权力也有可能在学生获得Offer但未换取CAS前将学位让给其他学生。
如何接受英国大学Offer，换取CAS?英国大学的录取通知书上都会明确告知接受Offer的步骤，学生通常只需要完成两件事情：1、填写接受入学表(Acceptance Form)，并且签名;2 、交付第一次学费预付金(付款方法可选择：国际电汇，汇票或信用卡)。
学生将Acceptance Form连同预付金交费凭证一起交上，学校帮你换取CAS Statement。
这样学生的学位就可以确认，并且开始申请学生签证了。

2、Appendix8TIER 4(General)申请表附表。
这个表和VAF9的填写中英网上都有模板。
3、Checklist这个对比着本人预备的材料打钩，拿到签证中心以后，工作人员会帮你核对再打一遍钩。
这三个表可以打印下来本人填，也可以填PDF格式，然后打印出来。
签证中心也会有这些表。
一般来说都是本人填好以后拿去直接交。
填表时，有问题的话可以留空拿到签证中心去问了再填。
4、存款证实其实只需要银行出具一份存款证实+存单或者存折或者银行对账单。
英国签证的要求是存款必须至少存够28天，活期按期无所谓，存够28天以后就可以让银行开存款证实，这个证实是用来说明第一，你在这家银行存有多少钱;第二，存款证实开出来以后，你这笔钱就会冻结(冻结多久本人定，1个月、3个月、半年都可以)，一般冻结的时间要覆盖过签证拿到的时间，一个月够了。
这是存款证实的意义所在，证实在签证这段时间内你的钱不会动。
那存单/存折/对账单是用来干什么的呢?是用来证实你的存期已满28天的。
存单是你存钱进去的时候让银行开具的一个回执，说明你于某年某月某日存入多少钱，这个单子上会有你存入的日期，这样就能说明你的钱存够28天了。
存折是与银行卡相对的，(前面存单是对应的银行卡的情况)，以前没给银行卡的时候就是用的存折，存折上面就会有开户销户流水的记录，所以,存折也是在钱存入的时候银行给的。
现在一般都是用卡不用存折了。
银行对账单，其实对账单就是银行账户往来的流水单，这个的作用就是在你既没有存单又没有存折的情况下，每一笔资金往来的流水账，同样是用来说明资金的交易情况，看出存够28天没。
所以，存单、存折、对账单这三者是一样的概念，都是用来说明资金存了多少天，一般优先用存单和存折，这两个是存钱进去的时候让银行出具的，过后就出具不了了。
对账单就是在既没有存折也没有存单的情况下的挽救办法。
存单：bank slip，存折：pass book，对账单：bank statement关于资金账户，强烈建议不麻烦的话都把资金存在本人名下，不要存在父母的名下。
存在父母名下就会要求提供户口本，出生证实和父母的担保信。
假如资金在本人名下，都不需要提供这些东西。
出生证实：出生证实一定要在医院开，不是在公安局派出所。
派出所只能够开亲属关系证实和无犯罪记录证实。
其实亲属关系证实和出生证实的作用是一样的，都是用来证实你和资金提供者的关系。
出生证实上必须含有父母的名字。
我们这个年代出生的小孩儿几乎没有什么出生证实，国家那个时候还不流行这一说，所以，在你户口本上出生地找个医院让他盖个章就行了。
担保信：是以父母的口吻证实父母账户的资金可以提供给你留学使用，父母签字。
5、护照6、照片45mm*35mm照片一张，随便找一个照相馆都可以，穿深色衣服照。
7、成绩单、毕业证、学位证8、CAS信打印下来带去。
CAS上面列明的申请时所用的材料都要带上。
包括toefl/ielts和GMAT/GRE9、翻译所有材料原件非英文的都要求翻译。
签证中心官网上现在对翻译的要求是：提供译者的名字、联系方式、翻译日期及译者的签名。
翻译的基本要求：凡是中文全部都要翻译成英文，包括盖的章。
翻译版本的格式尽量与原件格式一致。
关于成绩单学位证毕业证的翻译。
一般来说成绩单是学校直接出具的，假如没有英文版的可以本人翻译以后盖学校的红章。
盖了学校红章的成绩单，就说明是学校出具的官方的(不管是不是你本人翻译的)有效力的文件，不需要再单独翻译。
包括学位证和毕业证，假如你的翻译件上盖了学校的红章，就不需要单独翻译。
但是假如没有学校盖章的话就需要单独翻译了。
再说下关于公证。
其实，公证和你找翻译公司翻译是同一个意思。
公证的作用是你拿着原件和翻译件到公证处，他们帮你核对以后在你的翻译件上盖个章，说明你这个翻译是经过公证的正确无误的。
10、递签申请人去交材料的时候带上原件、所有原件的复印件、翻译件(后二者，签证官会拿走不返还给你)。
材料的摆放：每一份材料的原件、复印件、翻译件放在一起，这样方便工作人员收材料。
11、材料的返还签证官会拿走哪些材料，其实你也不知道，这就是为什么许多人会提供许多要求之外的材料和证实，比如房产证、有价证券之类。
从很多学生返还的材料来看，签证拿走了所有原件的复印件和翻译件。
但是，有三件没有拿走，一是GMAT成绩单，第二个就是出生证实的翻译件，但是拿走了亲属关系证实的翻译。
所以，签证官的癖好还真摸不清晰，以我的理解，假如你觉得哪一个证实不太靠谱，就多弄一个具有相同作用的保险。
第三个就是银行存款证实的翻译件。
由此看出银行假如出具的是中英对比的存款证实就足够效力了，就像学校盖章的成绩单，不需要再单独翻译。
12、签证的返回取签证的时候一定要看看护照上面签证的有效期。
一般来说，有效期应该覆盖你的program的时间，时间不对就马上与你递签的签证中心联系问他们怎么处理。
假如确实是他们签错了，他们就会让你把护照寄回使馆重新签。
这时候你拿回去改就是签证官的失误，往返寄送都是免费的。
但是，假如你现在不签，等去了英国再签，那就不是使馆的责任了，而且要另花300镑。
提交签证申请材料前须检查以下内容：1、检查您本人、父亲和母亲的姓名是否用拼音和中文填写。
2、检查CCC编码是否写在拼音姓名的下方。
3、检查您的地址是否用拼音和中文填写。
4、检查您的照片尺寸是否为3.5cm ×4.5cm ,并且为白色背景以及清晰的容貌，照片必须是最近6个月拍摄的。
5、检查是否提供护照信息页和签名页的复印件。
6、检查是否带齐所有原件及复印件。
7、检查是否带齐所有中文文件的英文翻译件。
8、检查护照是否有申请者签名。
9、检查签证申请表格是否有申请者签名。
10、检查您是否带足签证费(只限现金)。
11、检查签证申请表格是否被正确地填写完整。
12、确保签证申请表格上的数据与递交的信息相符。
13、英国大使馆、领事馆要求护照至少有两页正反面均为空白页，两面不能有任何使用记录。
总之，在提交英国签证申请材料前按照以上的13个注意点把自己的材料逐一检查一次，是对自己留学规划的负责，也让自己的英国签证一次性被通过更有把握。
注意事项：1、确认(CAS)，自己办理签证的学生，要注意的是CAS上的信息是否正确。
2、申请CAS时，提交的托福或雅思成绩单原件，请学生根据CAS要求，提交成绩单的原件!3、护照，保证有效期在半年以上。
4、中英文成绩单原件，仍然要与申请时所用的保持一致。
5、学位证和毕业证原件，对于没有毕业的学生，要提交学校开据的在读证明!6、资金材料，资金方面，同学们要注意的地方比较多，首先，资金最好存在学生本人名下;其次，同学们需要存的总数量是第一年的学费加上生活费，一般来说，在伦敦地区消费水平要高一些，要存三十万左右，其他地区存二十五万左右就可以了;最后，在存款日期上，建议同学们如果可以的话，尽快存，因为定期存款满1个月后才可以去递签。
注：存单或是存折：须存在个人名下达到28天;银行开的存款证明(在递交签证前一个月内开具有效)。
7、一张免冠彩色照片，35mm*45mm。
8、填写签证申请表并需要预约签证时间。
9、签证费2980元，签证中心只收现金!英国大学有的课程需要学生提供ATAS等认证，同学们只要根据CAS上的要求准备就可以了。
特别提醒：以前申请英国学生签证，不需要户口本，但最近开始需要户口本，学生最好提前准备好，以免耽误签证。
另外，随着英国大学对国际学生质量的要求提高，从今年开始，学生在办理签证时会对申请签证的部分学生进行面签。
