本课围绕“birthday party”这一话题展开，主要句型结构是用but连接两个正在发生的动作。
一个动作正在发生，但被另一件正在发生的事情影响了。
主要句子是:①He is playing the trumpet, but the phone is ringing.②Daming is playing the trumpet again, but now the doorbell is ringing.③Daming is playing the trumpet again ,but the dog is singing very loudly.Daming过了一个十分有趣的生日。
二、说教法：根据六年级学生的特点，结合教学内容，我采用了单词竞赛，老师说汉语，全班说英语，有两个同学指单词，体现了全员参与，没有一个人处于观望状态。
另外，我采用了全班集体口头奖励评价方式，让受表扬的同学在精神上得到最大的满足，这种奖励的力量是无可估量的，能使全班同学精神饱满，人人参与。
我还采用场景教学使枯燥乏味的句子变得浅显易懂，学生易于理解，便于接受。
在做听力训练时，要能够做到准确训练。
听力有层次，有梯度。
指令清楚，每一步训练的目的不同，指令不同。
三、说学法：⑴学生想去学，想去说，愿意听，变被动学为主动学。
⑵老师的三种激励方式来调动学生积极性参与意识，大胆得说，勇敢得演。
⑶学生要学会倾听，听老师讲，听同学讲，会听才会学。

不足之处，在对主句型操练时，学生的接龙游戏不够流畅，如果在这个过程中老师准备一些生活中的素材图片通过大屏幕展示出来，学生的句型运用可能更得心应手。在组内做表演时，有的人还是怕开口说英语，怎样让所有学生敢于说，乐于说，让学生充满激情地参与到课堂中，这还是我不断努力的方向。

6、同桌指课本图互相说重点句给对方听，再指名到前面结合大屏幕图展示给全班同学听。
7、在学会了单词、重点句以后再听录音，注意语音语调。
8、小组合作练习课文表演，评选出优胜小组。
三、小结并拓展：这节课主要学习了一个新的句式，一个动作正在发生的同时另一个动作也发生了，打断了前一个动作，中间用but连接。回忆自己类似的经历，用本节课所学的句式进行接龙游戏：如前一学生说“I’mwatching TV”,后一学生说“but the doorbell is ringing.”

一、说教材
（一）教材地位分析
本单元教学围绕大明举办生日聚会这一题材开展，继续复习现在进行时的用法及其知识的拓展延伸。
学生已有了前面知识的铺垫，比较易于深入与扩展，这样的安排，既体现了教材循序渐进、由难到易的编排意思，又符合学生的知识水平和认知水平。
（二）教学内容分析
国家《新课程标准》要求老师要善于结合教学实际，灵活地、有创造性地使用教材，对教材内容和教学方法进行适当的取舍和调整。
本模块主要围绕“大明过生日”这一题材开展，通过一首声形并茂的诗歌导入现在进行时态，并通过一系列真实的活动，说明事件的变化，本课内容贴近学生的生活实际，有利于培养学生在真实的语言情景中运用英语进行交际。
（三）教学对象分析
六年级的学生对英语学习已经有了一定的经验，掌握了一定的词汇基础，通过前面的学习，初步掌握了基本的句型，并能利用英语根据情景进行简单的交流。
通过知识迁移能够以旧带新，但是由于英语环境的缺乏，利用英语介绍相关内容仍是本课的难点所在。
（四）教学环境分析
根据Daming is having a birthday party这一话题的教学内容，以及学生的实际情况，我选择了多媒体教室环境，并借助ppt辅助教学。

本课围绕大明的生日这个中心话题来操练，通过激情导入——真实写照——情景再现这一线索环环相扣展开，本课由浅入深的教学活动，为了更好地巩固和加强学生对现在进行时的综合运用能力，同时根据本节课学习内容的本体特点，我采用了趣味教学和探究式教学方法。
（三）情感态度与价值观
通过丰富的课堂活动，让学生对学习英语产生浓厚的兴趣，学生敢于、乐于、善于开口说英语，积极参与交流，树立学习英语的信心。

1、热身互动
（1）请同学们再次欣赏上一模块的英文小诗，同时，教师引导学生针对视频中的某一画面运用进行时简单的描述。

（2）趁热打铁，带着学生的激情与热情进入游戏，听英语做简单有趣的动作复习现在进行时。
【设计意图】给学生创造了轻松的学习氛围，让学生在玩中学习，把学习英语当做一件快乐的事情，让学生自觉进入了英语世界，为下面的学习做好了铺垫。
2、导入新课
通过一系列的游戏，自然导入本课生词，并由生词牵出大明的生日聚会，媒体播放生日聚会图片，引出本节课的课题。
同时，共唱生日歌，开始本课的教学。
【设计意图】生词的自然过渡，课文的有效衔接，共唱生日歌曲，活跃课堂气氛，吸引了学生的注意力，把本课教学推向高潮。
3、呈现新课
（1）走进教材——单词攻破后，顺利进入课文环节。
多媒体播放flash课文，引导学生听看幻灯片，学习掌握本课的重点句型。
（2）趣味操练——学生结合课文插图，再听录音仿读，并开展多种形式的赛读，如个人读、小组读，优胜者给予小奖励。
