题目Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to use printed material such as books and articles to do research than it is to use the internet. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文In today’s digital age, the i nternet has become an indispensable tool for research. However, I believe that printed material such as books and articles are still superior to the internet when it comes to research. In this essay, I will explain why I hold this opinion.Firstly, printed material is often more reliable than information found on the internet. Anyone can publish anything on the internet, regardless of whether or not it is accurate or trustworthy. In contrast, books and articles are usually written by experts in their field and have been reviewed by editors and publishers before being published. This means that the information contained in printed material is more likely to be accurate and reliable.Secondly, printed material is often more comprehensive than information found on the internet. While the internet contains a vast amount of information, it can be difficult to find what you are looking for. In addition, the information found on the internet is often fragmented and incomplete. In contrast, books and articles are usually written with a specific topic in mind and provide a comprehensive overview of that topic. This makes it easier to find the information you need and ensures that you have a complete understanding of the topic. Finally, printed material is often more conducive to deep learning than information found on the internet. When you read a book or article, you are more likely to engage in deep reading, which involves focusing on the text and thinking critically about the information presented. In contrast, when you search for information on the internet, you are more likely to engage in shallow reading, which involves scanning the text for keywords and quickly moving onto the next piece of information. Deep reading is more likely to lead to a deep understanding of the topic and is therefore more conducive to learning. In conclusion, while the internet is a valuable tool for research, printed material such as books and articles are still superior when it comes to reliability, comprehensiveness, and deep learning. Therefore, I believe that it is better to use printed material for research than it is to use the internet.总结以上就是一篇托福独立范文,希望能够对大家的备考有所帮助。

Parks and public gardens.托福写作模板及参考答案:托福写作范文参考:During an economic crisis, governments face difficult choices of monetary allocation with reduced budgets. In this challenging time, it is of vital importance for policy-makers to recognize the effectiveness of policy-making on certain social services or programs such as arts, scientificresearch and park and public gardens. If a choice has to be made, in my opinion, the government should reduce its spending on arts.To begin with, in times of an economic crisis, it is significant for policy-makers to recognize the necessity of investing in scientific research because it exerts a far-reaching effect. If the financial crisis leads to substantial cuts in funding for scientific research by governments, it will be difficult to muster investment for a public good, like clean air, or for extremely risky initiatives, such as novel approaches to new antibiotic drugs, or in areas where the outcome is uncertain. As a matter of fact, technological innovation, biomedical breakthroughs, and tackling pressing environmental issues all require sustained scientific development, from basic discovery to final application. Investing in research is investing in the future, and it requires a long-term commitment to the accumulation of knowledge, the testing of basic principles, and the translation of these discoveries into practical applications that impact everyday life. Consequently, governments ought to attach more importance to the scientific studies so as to develop world class research base and conduct crucialscientific projects.Furthermore, funding for parks and public gardens provides an opportunity for people to engage in physical activities, which is considerably beneficial to health. Nowadays, due to the sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating diet, overweight and obesity are epidemic problems across the world, and related conditions are on the rise. A primary focus of attention is providing environment where people can be physically active. Parks offer such an opportunity. In addition, health studies have shown that people who do regular exercise get a range of benefits when they are in natural settings, like parks and public gardens. These benefits include reduced risk of premature death; reduced risk of heart disease, hypertension, cancer; improved maintenance of muscle strength; weight loss and favorable redistribution of body fat; improved physical functioning. Therefore, when governments allocate fiscal spending on parks such as well-designed and well-maintained paths as well as attractive scenery, people can substantially improve their health and quality of life by doing moderate amounts of physical activity in their daily lives.Undeniably, if governments pay more attention toinvestment in art, people can enrich inner world as a diverse and productive cultural environment can provide the spirit and important intangible values. However, in times of crisis, people usually lay emphasis on basic needs instead of spiritual needs. As a result, the importance of material comforts outweighs that of nourishment for the mind and it does not mean that people’s quality of life will be dramatically affected if governments cut budget on art and provide less financial support on art institutions. In a sense, it will not directly influence people’s life at least in a short term because people rarely need to satisfy their aesthetic needs everyday. Therefore, compared with scientific research and park and public gardens, art is least associated with people’s daily life and it needs less concern. From what has been discussed above, scientific studies serve the common interest of the entire human race and doing exercise in parks and public gardens constitutes an indispensable part of daily life. It is more applicable and reasonable to cut down spending on art in the times of an economic crisis.以上就是为同学们整理的托福独立写作范文汇总之经济危机时政府减少支出的全部内容,希望同学们能够考出理想的托福成绩!。

托福独立写作满分范文24篇

托福独立写作满分范文24篇

托福范文24篇(1)Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice?范文:As knowledge and experience serve as twin towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, either to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Newton, siting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for o thers’ wisdom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjamin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjamin Franklin may best be regarded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and efficiency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining comparedwit h group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in cooperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individual involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, practicalities and personalities of each other.Admittedly turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannotdo while divided, there is little we can do.(2)After they complete their university studies, some students live in their hometowns. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is better? Give reasons for your answer.范文:After they complete their university studies, some students prefer to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several different museums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there. Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will be waiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choice is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.(3)Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.范文:If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regularthing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral.I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or shecan make all the difference in the world to your life.(4)Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文:Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs outside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home.Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking does not have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.(5)题目:It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.范文:A New Movie TheaterEntertainment is an important part of everyone’s life. We all need to take time to relax insgroupsto live healthy lives and do our workefficiently. It is easier to relax when an appropriate form of entertainment is convenient and close by. Therefore, I would support a proposal to build a new movie theater in my neighborhood.Entertainment places can bring some disadvantages to a community such as increased traffic and noise, but I believe the advantages of a new movie theater would outweigh these concerns. For one thing, the people in my neighborhood would save time. When they wanted to see a movie they could simply walk to the new theater rather than spend time traveling by bus or car. In addition, it would be safer for children to visit a nearby movie theater rather than one in some other part of the city. And finally, a new theater might attract other businesses, such as restaurants and coffee shops, where the people of my neighborhood could go to relax. In short, a new movie theater in the neighborhood would increase the number of entertainment options for the residents. They could enjoy themselves more easily without spending a lot of time traveling to another part of the city. For these reasons I would support the building of a movie theater in my neighborhood.译文:一家新电影院娱乐是每个人生活中一个重要的组成部分。

托福独立写作范文(以学生为主的讨论)

托福独立写作范文(以学生为主的讨论)

托福独立写作范文(以学生为主的讨论)In many places, it has been typical for teachers of high school students (ages 14-18) to lecture or lead a discussion while the students listen and take notes for most of the school day. However, this is not an effective way to prepare students for careers in the modern workplace. A better way to do that is for teachers to spend most of the school day on student-led discussions (in which students frequently present their ideas and discuss them with the class) and project-based activities (in which students do their own research and work together while the teacher is available to help them as needed).红色:段落结构蓝色:短语黄色:单词Fostering Career Readiness: Shifting Towards Student-LedDiscussions and Project-Based ActivitiesIntroduction:In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, the traditional model of passive learning, where teachers lecture and students take notes, falls short in adequately preparing high school students for their future careers. To address this concern, it is crucial to reevaluate our educational approach. This essay argues that a more effective method involves prioritizing student-led discussions and project-based activities. Byactively engaging students, fostering collaboration, and promoting critical thinking skills, this alternative approach better equips students with the necessary skills and adaptability required in the modern workplace.Body Paragraph 1: Enhanced Student Engagement and Active LearningOne of the primary benefits of student-led discussions and project-based activities is the heightened level of student engagement. Rather than passively absorbing information, students become active participants in their own learning process. By sharing their ideas, opinions, and experiences in class discussions, students develop crucial communication and interpersonal skills. This interactive environment cultivates an atmosphere of inclusivity and encourages diverse perspectives, which closely reflects real-life workplace scenarios.Body Paragraph 2: Collaboration and TeamworkThe modern workplace heavily emphasizes collaboration and teamwork. By incorporating project-based activities, high school students are provided with valuable opportunities to work together in teams. Such activities necessitate students to divide responsibilities, pool resources, and brainstorm creative solutions. Through these collaborative efforts, students learn the significance of cooperation, effective communication, and compromise, vital skills for success in any professional setting.Body Paragraph 3: Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving SkillsThe traditional lecture-based approach often focuses on rote memorization rather than fostering critical thinking skills. In contrast, student-led discussions and project-based activities encourage students to analyze problems, think critically, and develop innovative solutions. By conducting research, presenting their findings, and engaging in thoughtful discussions, students learn to navigate complexities, think independently, and develop problem-solving aptitude. These skills are invaluable in the modern workplace, where adaptability and creative problem-solving are highly sought after.Body Paragraph 4: Teacher as Facilitator and MentorWhile student-led discussions and project-based activities place students at the forefront of their learning, the role of the teacher remains pivotal. In this context, teachers transition into facilitators and mentors, guiding students through their academic journey. Teachers provide necessary support, offer guidance, and assist students in honing their research, communication, and critical thinking skills. This shift in the teacher’s role ensures students receive individualized attention and benefit from their expertise, creating an optimal learning environment. Conclusion:In conclusion, the traditional model of passive learning through lectures and note-taking falls short in preparing high school students for the demands of the modern workplace. By transitioning towardsstudent-led discussions and project-based activities, we foster enhanced student engagement, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This alternative approach empowers students to actively participate in their education, equipping them with the necessary skills and adaptability required to thrive in the ever-evolving professional landscape. It is imperative that we adapt our educational methods to align with the needs of the 21st-century workplace and provide students with the tools they need to succeed.。

托福写作模板及参考答案:托福写作范文参考一:6月4日托福独立写作范文Do you agree or disagree: The most important thing for government to improve health care is to clean the environment. As economy advances, the consequences caused by industrial development become starker and various environmental problems cover the whole world. Then comes one of the most serious issues that people’s health is confronted with huge challenges. Surely, a number of solutions have been raised and discussed and as for whether the most important thing for the government to improve health care is to clean the energy, I cast doubt on it.Undeniably, cleaning the environment is an effective way to ensure people’s health. For instance, if the air pollution can be bridled, there will be fewer chances for citizens living in Beijing or TianJin suffering the respiratory diseases. Besides, citizens in Flint City could drink clean water if the water source was not acidified to erode the pipeline of tap water. However, the threats human beings are faced with do not only come from the environmental problems and the government has to lay moreemphasis on the other two areas. For one thing, the outbreak of viruses that could sparkle off widespread epidemics is a killer to human beings. Reflecting history can help us explore how the devastating viruses tortured human beings and the death toll was astounding. For instance, the once spread of cholera once caused the death of more than a million civilians in Russia and malaria is a kind of serious malady that could cause the death of several hundred thousand in Africa in the past. The good news is those viruses were under control finally after the efforts made by numerous medical experts. However, in recent years, people are still under huge threats of many newly found viruses like Ebola, Zika that still remain highly dangerous and could trigger huge damage to people’s physical health. Even worse, a reported man in America was found dying of Zika virus. Therefore, it is more urgent and indispensable for the government to invest to the development of medical technology. For another thing, while analyzing the influence factors leading to the sub-health of most city employees, the deficiency in engaging sports can be found as one of the primary contributors. Therefore, there is necessity for the government to build more available sporting facilities nearby the communities for city workers who have to be fully involved in their career and cannot vacate enough time toeither go to Gym or farther places for exercises. Take friends around me as an example. Most of them cannot afford to spend time in playing sports, one of who called Jason working as a software engineer can only get off work till 10 o’clock PM. Another friend of mine has to travel across the country for business trips several times a month. The combination of long-term involvement in career and no chance to work out lead to the obesity and the declining immunity. However, if there is a public Gym constructed around my friends’ residency, the possibilities of doing exercises could be higher and the physical conditions could be better. Accordingly, to maintain the physical health of citizens, it is more practical for the government to invest more to the construction of sports infrastructure as far as my friends are concerned. In a word, even though cleaning environment means a lot to the citizens’ health care, developing medical technology and building sporting facilities can be more related to our health。

Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.托福写作范文:Nowadays, the annual incomes of many sports stars and film stars come to millions of dollars. Some people claim that their salaries are too high. Yet, in my opinion, such salaries are well deserved. They work hard to become famous, provide entertainment for us, and win honors for their countries.First, famous athletes and entertainers make painstaking efforts to achieve fame. Fame is a wonderful thing to have, but it seldom appears overnight. Famous people have worked hard for years to achieve their fame today and they have to continue their good work to maintain it. For their hard work, sports and entertaining stars deserve to be generously rewarded. Unfortunately, people tend to focus on the huge amounts of money made by them. They rarely appreciate the efforts that athletes and entertainers have to make in order to achieve the fame that they have today. For example, in order to win the first place in a 100-meter dash, an athlete has to cover hundreds of miles during training. Famous stars deserve their high salaries because they have worked hard.Second, sports and entertaining stars provide us with good entertainment. On weekends, many of us attend a football match that includes Beckham, see a movie that stars Julia Roberts, or go to a concert that features Celine Dion. These people help us make good use of our free time by entertaining us. As a result, we feel inspired as well as relaxed. In other words, we feel energetic again after attending the events. We even feel that we have more to enjoy in life and have new aspirations. For such reasons, these people are worth theirhigh salaries.Third, athletes and entertainers win honors for their countries. For example, after four years’ hard work, many athletes win gold medals at the Olympics Games. They are able to make millions of dollars a year after the games. Such high salaries are justified, because these athletes have won honors for their countries in the most competitive arena and have made their people proud, something few people can even dream of. This is true for entertainers as well. Many actors and actresses receive high salaries after they have won Oscars or prizes at Cannes Films Festival. Those people also deserve high salaries, because they have made a name in films for their country and have made their country better known by people elsewhere in the world. All in all, famous athletes and entertainers merit their high salaries, for their hard work, entertainment they provide, and their contribution to their country. If I had a chance, I would be a famous star who can make millions of dollars a year.以上就是为同学们整理的托福独立写作范文汇总之如何看待演艺明星的高薪的全部内容,希望同学们能够考出理想的托福成绩!。

Psychologists have confirmed that behavior is closely related to personality, so it is not surprising to see that some people even propose a specific method of judging a person by the books one reads and the movies one sees. With this recognition, I cannot agree more for the following reasons.
First, books and movies often reflect one’s hobbies. For one thing, reading books and seeing movie are hobbies themselves. It is supposed that a person who insists on these hobbies possesses relatively rich knowledge and broad horizon. For another, from what books one indulge in and what movies one constantly enjoy, deeper and well-rounded recognition about this person can be gained. Once I coincidently had a talk with a general manager of a successful company who performed well in her career. Every time the company was in difficulty, he could made reasonable and desirable judgments. He confirmed me that he could do so because he benefited a lot from books and movies about business.
Second, books and movies are mirrors of one’s personality. What one reads and sees can greatly influence one’s personality. One who immerses in philosophical works must be reasonable; one who enjoys comedies must be an optimistic person; one who put a great number of literature works on the shelf must be a story lover; one who always devours
thrilling and violent materials must hide a dark side inside. Take myself as an example. I can’t help reading historical works or seein g movies about history, because I was intrigued by human history.
To be frank, there are other ways that can be used to judge a person, such as the places one goes, the activities one participates, and the person one contact with. However, an obvious shortcoming exists in these strategies: they can be easily disguised. Comparing to these strategies, books and movies are the most reliable method of judging a person because it is never easy to finish reading a book one dislike or a movie one doesn’t favor.
Hobbies and personalities are two essential aspects of a person. Once the masks of the two aspects are removed by using the most reliable method, observing books and movies one enjoy, we can know the person relatively soundly.。
