分为主情景图和ABC三个部分。
主情景图通过Miss White向新同学Oliver介绍班级中的同学及教室外陈杰与John谈论他们的新老师这两个场景，呈现本单元要学习的部分核心词汇和句型。
A部分Let＇s try：本活动是针对本单元核心句型Is he...？Yes，he is.而设计的听力活动，旨在使学生能够借助图片听懂简短对话，抓住关键信息，提高听的能力。
对于听力材料中出现的新单词strict，教师可以请学生猜测词义，并初步感知它的读音。
