四、学习定语从句应该注意的问题
1.关系代词和关系副词的选用
如果先行词是表示时间或地点的名词,不一定要用关系副词 when
或 where,务必要看引导词在从句中充当什么成分,如果作状语,
用关系副词;如作主语或宾语要用关系代词。当 reason 作先行词
后面的名词。(它还可以同 of which / of whom 互换)

三、掌握关系副词及其作用
关系副词有 when, where, why,它们在引导定语从句时,既在
定语从句中充当状语,又起连接作用。
1.when 指时间,在定语从句中充当时间状语。

注意:关系副词 when, where, why 的含义相当于“介词+ which” 结构,因此常常交替使用。关系副词 when, where, why 可代替的 先行词是时间、地点或理由的名词,在从句中作状语。 This is the house in which I lived two years ago. = This is the house where I lived two years ago. 这就是我两年前 住的房子。
行词前面有 who, which 等疑问代词时,多用 that 引导定语从句。
