Please find attached the draft of "Fibre Channel – Backbone - 5 (FC-BB-5) Amendment 1" revision 1.03. The amendment is being forwarded for first public review and for further processing.
At the T11 plenary in Albuquerque, NM on October 6, 2011, Craig Carlson (Qlogic), the 11.3 chair requested the T11 Chair to perform a Letter Ballot for approval of forwarding FC-BB-5 AM1 Revision 1.02, Project 2250-D, to INCITS for first public review when the document is available. The T11 Chair accepted.
The letter ballot was subsequently performed and completed. The letter ballot document, T11/11-468v0, is enclosed for reference. The letter ballot was completed on November 19, 2011. The vote carried with 28 in favor, 0 opposed, 1 abstaining, and 0 not voting. Three affirmative ballots carried comments. This vote met the two-thirds rule. The result of this ballot is available online from by following "Ballots" and "Closed Ballots" links and is also attached below for your convenience.
At the T11 plenary meeting in St. Petersburg, FL, on December 8, 2011, Craig Carlson (Qlogic) moved and Ralph Weber (ENDL) seconded to accept T11/11-500v1 as the resolution of the letter ballot comments on FC-BB-5 AM 1 and forward Revision 1.03 of FC-BB-5 AM 1, Project 2250-D, to INCITS for further processing including public review. INCITS RD-2 requires approval of this question in accord with the 2/3 rule, as determined by roll call. The motion met the 2/3 rule, with 24 Favoring, 0 Opposing, 0 Abstaining, 6 Not Voting.
These actions are documented in the minutes of the December 2011 T11 plenary meeting, T11/11-517v0, subclause 11.2.1. This item was posted on the draft agenda for the December 2011 meeting, T11/11-477v1.
Lists of the members of T11 and T11.3 who approved this amendment are enclosed for your reference.
