Hello, everyone, today we are going to talk about some tips for job interview and there are four points in our today’s video. O k, let’s begin.

I、Interview Etiquette

A: The first one is interview etiquette.One of main purposes of an interview is to present yourself to a potential employer in a manner that reflects a highly polished and professional image.The first judgment an interview makes is going to be based on how you look and what you are wearing.Take women for example, dressing in a conservative business suit is the best way to present a professional image. The suit should fit well and make you feel good about yourself.You should be able to sit comfortably wearing that skirt. Generally, length should not be too long or too short.

II、Small Talk

A:Most interviews will start with a handshake and small talk.This may include questions about “How you doing? You travel to the interview, the weat her, how your weekend went and more.All you need to do is be polite and friendly, keep your answershort,you can also feel free to turn the question back to the interviewer.For instance, if the interviewer asks you how your weekend was? You might respond “It was great, we went hiking. How was your weekend?”Small talk is us ed to build a more comfortable environment before the interview begins. It may seem silly, but you can practice small talk on your own. By asking yourself simpleeasy non-personal questions. You can also practice with your friends.

Here an example of small talk:

1. How are you doing?

-I’m great, thank you. And you?

2. Did you do anything interesting over the weekend?

-Yes. I went to the park with my family for a picnic.

-That sounds nice.

-I worked this weekend. But I got a lot done, so that was good.

-It does feel good to get work done.

Dialogue:

C:Hello! Miss Chen. I’m Evelyn. Thanks very much for coming! Please have a seat! D:Thankyou. Thankyou so much for meeting with me.

C:Of course. Did you have trouble finding the office?

D:Nope.The direction on the subway was great.

C:Good. Would you like some tea or coffee before we begin?

D:I am OK. Thankyou.

C:All right.

A: You can see we haven’t said much of importance but the conversation is friendly and open. And can make two people feel more comfortable in each other presence.

III、Introduce yourself

B:Common question, could you tell me a little bit about yourself? It's very common for interviewees display to tell them about yourself. The most important is they want you to focus on education and work history. You can also let them know where areas you have a lot of experience or your interests are.

Dialogue:

C:Let’s get started. Tell me little bit about yourself.

D:Sure.I studied at Zhejiang Industry & Trade V ocational College and my major is business English. I spent most of my time on study, and I’ve acquire basic knowledge of my major. Furthermore, I’ve passed CET-6 and BEC. Besides, I had studied Office by myself during free time and had obtained NCRE GREDE 2 finally. During the time when I was at school, I had taken part invarious ofactivities in class and Students Union, thereby enhancing all-round life abilities.

C:Um that’s great.

IV、Other questions

B:Common question could you tell me how you heard about this position. This is a common question you can hear in the interview. It's a chance to share a litter bit of research. You can tell them where you learn about the position you apply for. It's also a chance to share you know the position from a person of company. Here are some example responses:

-I heard about the position from one of your employees.

-I saw the position on linked-in.

C: Can you tell me how you heard about this position?

D: I knew this position from my teacher. So, I spent some time on your website learning about the position and the company. I also read an article in Business Weekly about your work that really got me interested.

B:Common question what attracted you to our company?

Before answering this question, we should learn the culture of company and prepare the answer about why you come to this company. The interviewers through this way to know your attitude to this interview. After you talk about the understanding of the company, but also talk about your feelings. You should response like this: I was really impressed with you commitment to renewable energy.

C:What attracted you to our company?

D: To be honest, what really caught my eye was your focus on growth. I was really impressed with your ambitious goals and the clear plan you have for achieving those goals. I also like the support you provide your employees. I love your continuing education initiatives, where you pay for employees to learn new ethnics and skill sets.

I think that really helps to build employee satisfaction and loyalty.

B:Common question what would you say is your greatest strength?When it comes to your greatest strength, we had better show our all kinds of strength in behave. What’s

more, you can tell interviewers it how to help you to finish work and better life. You should answer like this: My greatest strength is flexibility. I find that this is important when I’m working with lots of different people and opinions.

C: What would you say is your greatest strength?

D: I would say my, my greatest strength is a combination enthusiasm and persistence. My work ethic won't let me settle for a less than my best. I'm able to persevere through challenges and setbacks without falling into frustration or anger. I've noticed that this tends to keep those around me in good spirits as well, which is a plus.

C: Ok, Thank you for your time. I will contact you in two days.
