我将通过自学提出质疑,通过讨论交流展示,通过图表精讲点拨,通过表演拓展延伸等环节高效的组织阅读教学,大量地进行语言实践,使英语课堂交际化,有效地培养学生听、说、读、写的基本技能,从而提高运用英语进行交际的能力。

二.设计理念1. 通过给学生创设问题情景,图文并茂,充分调动学生的积极性,使学生自主学习,让学生成为问题的“发现者”,然后学生与学生进行合作性的探究,让老师成为问题的“点拨者”。

当然,在整个教学过程中,教师也是学生学习的合作者、引导者和参与者,形成师生互助,但教师要“少动”,学生要“多动”,多给学生自由发展的平台。

2. 本课以一个联合国亲善大使的身份介绍联合国的概况,着重介绍联合国怎样在Helping people around the world方面的工作。

通过阅读课本的基本组成部分,本节课形式多样,层层推进,极大的激发了学生的好奇心和求知欲,从而使学生对英语学习产生浓厚的兴趣,意识到英语学习的重要性,对英语学习有更大的热情与渴望,逐步文化意识,具有强烈的民族自豪感并将中国的传统精神传扬发扬光大。

It is urgent that we should remind people to contribute to our charity and d raw the government’s attention to provide equal rights for those suffering starvation. First, it is worthwhile to encourage people to acquire a good knowledge of environmental protection. They can grow fruit trees and fetch a good price by exporting fruit to other areas. They can also take the alternative of setting up ecology-friendly villages. Second, more volunteers are in need. For example, without wage, we have been doing the voluntary and worthy work. 假使动名词改作名词,也是这样,如This is worthy consideration 现在远不及This is worthy of consideration 普通。

(2)worthy 后面的不定式不一定属于被动语态,比较下面两句:This question is worthy to be considered. (这问题是值得被考虑的。

)He is worthy to consider this question. (他是值得考虑这问题的[他有考虑这问题的能力]。

)(3)说“值得被某人……的”通常用第一句,不用第二句或第三句,不可用第四句。

2.下面两句意思不同:This task is not worthy of him. (这件工作配不上他[太简易,配不上有像他这样本领、经验等的人]。

)He is not worthy of this task. (他配不上这件工作[他的本领、经验等太差,配不上这件工作]。

)3.worthy 不可单独用作表语,如不可说He is worthy 或The reward is worthy,该改作He is a worthy man 和This is a worthy reward。

worthy man 和man of worth 略有不同。

worthy man 里的worthy 往往含有“还算不坏”、“殊堪嘉尚”等不很尊敬的意思,man of worth 是“德才兼备的人”。

5. victimThe company has fallen victim to increased competition.日益激烈的竞争让这家公司深受其害。

He was used to being in charge, not being the victim of circumstance .他习惯于掌控一切,而不是受制于环境。

6. equalAll people are equal, deserving the same rights as each other.所有人都是平等的,享有同等的权利。
