儿时的社戏佘宗宝我从小在农村生活，那时人们娱乐活动少。
当时最让我盼望的事就是逢年过节，因为逢年过节可以看社戏。
我家老房子不到200米的地方就是祠堂，祠堂的前方有个戏台，是村里请人演社戏的地方。
唱戏的那几天是过大节，往往戏还没有开始，那些卖甘蔗、卖煎糕、卖三角饼、卖玩具的小贩们早已在戏场周围摆起了摊子。
太阳还没有完全落山时，戏班的演员们便开始涂脂抹粉了。

上学后，每到集市逢集，就有说书人在街头说书，用的是小锣小鼓，说上一段把铜锣翻过来捧着收钱。

那时刘兰芳、单田芳、袁阔成、王刚的评书都很流行，吸引大批听众，最为遗憾的是，曾祖母已经去世，听不到收音机里评书大师们的评书。

前段时间购得刘兰芳《岳飞传》的唱片，却再也听不到当年的感觉。
