And china, has stood the second place in the value of GDP, and contribute a lot in the international community. Based on the two points, the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region will greatly enhance the development of the whole world. China should be actively involved in improving the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region.
About sustainable development, how to achieve sustainable development? In my opinion, we should focus on the economic sustainable development in the first place. Economy is the basic element of the global society. Only the economy attain the sustainable development, can other factors such as education, environment, technology, etc, have the solid foundation and financial support to achieve the sustainable and green development. Besides, all the Pacific Rim economies should strengthen the cooperation and link with each other to build a continuous sustainable development system. If different economies can make full use of their advantages respectively and cooperate with each other, finally resulting in mutual trust and benefit, it will be easier and more effective to achieve the sustainable development. Here I want to highlight the essential impact of APEC---Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation on the development of the Asia-Pacific region. It is a forum for 21 Pacific Rim countries that seeks to promote free trade and economic cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Up till now, APEC has earned a high prestige in the international arena. The three pillars of APEC----trade and investment liberalization, business facilitation and economic and technical cooperation will strongly foster the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region.
More specifically, the APEC are supposed to the following things: firstly, APEC member economies should stick to Borgor Goals as their ultimate direction of APEC progress. Secondly, members should prosper the multilateral trade systems and spare no efforts to lower the tariff and non-tariff barriers in order to enjoy the free and open trade and investment and promote the free flow of goods, services and capital. Thirdly, the members should stick to the principle of transparency, enhancing the transparency of investment.
