My favourite way in learning English
There is a saying that interest is the best teacher.Personally,I think the key to learn English well is also the interest.My favourite way in learning English is reading English novels.
When I was a senior high school student,What I did was some basic things for exam, for example, memorizing new words, getting ideas of grammar, making sentences, or reciting lessons.I was bord with learning English like that when I became a college student.I tried to find another way to learn English .One day,I found that a friend of mine was reading a English original book,I thought that reading was my favourite and a good way to learn English. Then I started to learn English by reading novels.I always choose some novels simple and which have been translated.Before reading the English original version,I usually read the Chinese version firstly to get main ideas of these books.During second reading,I will read the English version.This time,I will look up the dictionary when I encounter a new word and try to translate difficult sentences by myself. Although this is a hard work,I am never bored with it because I often learn more about not only the English language knowledge but also the main ideas of books.
In my opinion,if we can start with something interesting,such as reading English novels,watching English movies and so on,we will learn English more simply and efficiently.。

I won't spoil how it ends...Unit 5: Looking into the FutureThis unit was all about imagining the future and what life might be like with new technologies. Some ideas seemed totally crazy, like hotels in space! But then I remembered how people in the past couldn't imagine things we have now like the internet. I wonder what awesome futuristic things will actually happen?Unit 6: PandasHooray, a whole unit just about pandas! We learned where pandas live, what they eat, how they are endangered, and whatpeople are doing to protect them. Pandas are so adorable and peaceful, yet so lazy! All they do is eat bamboo and sleep. Getting them to have baby pandas is really hard too. I really hope we can save pandas from extinction.Unit 7: An Elephant StoryIn this Indian folk tale, a kind brahmin helps a tinymouse-sized elephant grow big and strong. But the elephant gets too proud and bossy! The brahmin has to teach him an important lesson about staying humble. I felt bad for the elephant when the brahmin shrinks him down to mini size again as punishment! Such a funny story though.Unit 8: Colours and CulturesThis unit looked at different colors and their symbolic meanings across cultures. Like how white means purity and peace in the West, but it's the color of mourning in India. Red can symbolize prosperity, danger, or communist politics! Learning about colors helped me appreciate cultural diversity more.Unit 9: Traditional ClothesDifferent ethnic groups around the world have amazingly vibrant and unique traditional clothes.
