My Definition of Success
What is success? It is easy to describe success in terms of money, fame and reputation. But I believe that success is not from outside. I believe that success comes from within. My definition of success is to be true to yourself, and be true to others. That means that you must stick to your dream, even faced with difficulties.
A good example of success is that of Beethoven. He is one of the world's most famous composers, but he was deaf. He could not hear the music that he created. However, in the face of this challenge, he was able to maintain his dreams which is composing music.
Another example is Michael Jordan. In grade ten, he wasn’t selected for the local high school basketball team because he wasn’t tall enough. In order to prove his ability, he won more than 40 single-game score several times in junior high school team in the game. In the second year, he became taller. And with his hard training, he was finally selected the high school team.
As you can see, success doesn’t mean that you earned a lot of money, gained higher social status or the reputation in the nation. So try to find out what your dream is and stick to it, then you will find that success is around you.。
