2.in one’sspare time = in one’sfree time 在某人的空余时间 e.g. In my spare time, I often watch TV.3. prefer v. 更喜欢prefer sth.更喜欢prefer to do sth.更喜欢做prefer A to B喜欢A胜过B（A、B指的是物）prefer doing sth. to doing sth.喜欢做胜过做e.g. I prefer staying at home to shopping. 我喜欢待在家胜过购物。

4.would rather do than do s 相当于 would do rather than do ，比起做更愿意做e.g.I would rather read books than play basketball.比起打篮球，我更愿意看书。

当 than 前后的动作一致时，为避免重复，后者可省略。
