第一位：七龙珠可以毫不夸张的说，《龙珠》的诞生标志着日本漫画走向颠峰。
创造“龙珠”神话的是一个懒散却充满想象力的年轻人。
鸟山明没有上过大学，19岁从爱知县县立工业高中设计科毕业之后，他就进入了名古屋一家广告设计公司设计广告画。
然而还很年轻的他做事并不卖力，在那里工作的三年时间里几乎天天迟到，到后来老板即将炒他鱿鱼的时候，鸟山明自己提出辞职。
鸟山明的美术功底其实并不是很好，然而拥有丰富想象力的他对于漫画却有着满腔热情。
有一次正处于失业状态的鸟山明看到了《少年跳跃》稿酬丰厚的征稿启事，于是开始创作其第一部漫画。
不过鸟山明的这部处女作并没有入选。
尽管如此鸟山明并没有放弃，仍旧不断向《少年跳跃》投稿，结果被退稿100多次。
直到1978年，鸟山明的“岛上漫游”终于在《少年跳跃》上刊出。
1979年，鸟山明的成名作《阿拉蕾》开始在《少年跳跃》上连载，这部充满想象力的搞笑之作立刻获得成功，1981年动画版《阿拉蕾》播出，“阿拉蕾”成为当年最著名的漫画形象，各种相关产品充斥大街小巷，这一年被人称为“阿拉蕾年”。
真正让鸟山明成为日本漫坛教父的是1984年的《龙珠》。
鸟山明在创作《阿拉蕾》的过程中经常看成龙的电影寻找灵感，功夫电影看得多了，鸟山明就想到创作一部功夫漫画，于是一部叫做《骑龙少年》的漫画就这样构思起来了。
