看着聊得热闹，其实各说各话这里聚集着40多位老兵，有打扑克牌的、下棋的、看书的，也有在一起聊天的。
记者与一位姓陆的老人聊了起来，他今年87岁，祖籍辽宁开原，说话依然带有浓重的东北口音。
陆先生告诉我们，两岸对峙局势缓和后，曾经回过一次家，家里只剩下一个妹妹。
如今年事已高，加上两岸没有直航，不堪旅途奔波之苦的他，没有再回大陆探亲的念头了，但每天最爱阅读的新闻还是有关大陆的，对于故乡情况很了解。
另外一位姓胡的老先生告诉我们，他的家乡在黄山脚下的黟县。
获知记者来自大陆，老人絮絮叨叨说了半个多小时，全是家乡的故事。
他一再叮嘱，如果以后有机会路过，希望记者能去他家老屋看看。
在这里的老兵们来自五湖四海，由于乡音浓重，有时外人看他们聊得热闹，实际上是各说各话。

替那位牌友料理后事的，是他生前的同僚，如今同样白发苍苍的几位老兵。

在高雄，目前还有约5万多名老兵，无依无靠、无儿无女，聚居在原为安置他们而建设的眷村，或由眷村改造的社区大楼里。
黑瓦顶、水泥灰墙、绿色窗框、红色双扉门、竹篱笆，这是眷村民居的旧时写照。
这几年随着台湾当局拆迁修建，大规模的眷村群落逐渐难觅踪影，老人们多搬到集体宿舍相互照顾。
我们有幸在路上碰见一排旧时模样的眷村屋落，名为“励志新村”。
在一户人家门口，记者碰见一位老兵。
获悉记者从大陆来，他欣喜万分地把记者迎进屋内。
老人原籍福建福安，名叫郑松岭，今年80岁。
