We are going to take the high-speed train from Shanghai. I have never been on a bullet train before, so I will be sure to look out the window the whole time to see how fast it goes. The first place we will visit in Beijing is the Forbidden City. I learned in my history class that it was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. I can't wait to explore the many temples, gardens, and other buildings inside. I will take lots of pictures of the beautiful architecture with its yellow glazed tiles and red walls. Maybe I will even dress up in ancient Chinese royal clothing and pretend to be an emperor or empress for a day! After the Forbidden City, we will go see the famous Tiananmen Square. My dad told me it is one of the largest public squares in the world. Countless important events in Chinesehistory happened there. I will look for the Tiananmen Gate, the monumental entrance on the north side. I'm excited to take a family photo in front of it.The next day, we are going to visit the Great Wall of China! This immense wall stretches over 13,000 miles across northern China. We will take a bus tour that stops at the Badaling section, one of the most preserved and renowned parts. I can't wait to climb up the stone steps and walk along the watch towers. I have read that it is a tough hike, but I have been exercising to get ready. From the top, I will be able to look out over the beautiful mountains and take in the amazing views. What an incredible feat of construction the Great Wall was! After the Great Wall, we will stop at the Ming Tombs to see where 13 emperors from the Ming Dynasty are buried. The tombs have underground palaces with massive stone carvings and statues. I bet they will be spooky but also mesmerizing to explore! I might feel like an archaeologist uncovering ancient secrets.Another highlight will be seeing the famous Peking duck for dinner one night. My aunt says it is the most delicious duck she has ever tasted because the skin gets so crispy from the special preparation methods. We will go to one of the best Peking duckrestaurants in Beijing to try it. I hope I like it as much as everyone says! If not, there are so many other tasty dishes to sample, like noodles, dumplings, and lots of different veggie stir-fries.Between all the amazing historical sites and yummy food, I'm sure I will have the best time in Beijing this summer! I have seen so many pictures and videos of the Great Wall snakingover mountain ridges. It will be surreal to actually walk along it myself. Hutongs used to make up the city centuries ago, with small alleys and traditional courtyard homes everywhere. I want to imagine what it was like living in Beijing in olden times. I am sure this trip will give me so many amazing memories that I will never forget. Beijing, here I come!篇3My Big Trip to Beijing in 5 YearsI can't wait until I'm ten years old and in 5th grade! That's because my parents have promised me the most exciting trip ever - we're going to Beijing, the capital of China! Beijing is on the other side of the world from where I live. Just thinking about the journey makes me giddy with anticipation.I'll have to take my first long flight on a huge airplane to get to Beijing. The plane ride will probably be at least 12 hours! I've never traveled that far before. I'm a little nervous about the flight, but also really eager to experience it. I'll get to see cloudsclose-up out the window and watch movies the whole way there. The airline food might be different than what I'm used to, but I'll try my best to enjoy it. As long as I have snacks and things to keep me busy, I'll be just fine. When we finally land in Beijing, I'm sure it will feel like I've arrived on another planet! Everything will look, sound, and even smell completely new and unfamiliar. But that's part of what makes traveling so much fun - getting to experience different cultures. The second we step off the plane, I'll be surrounded by people speaking a language I don't understand at all. I'll have to rely on my parents to help translate. Good thing they've been learning some Mandarin phrases!I can't wait to see all the incredible sights Beijing has to offera curious kid like me. We'll go to Tiananmen Square and walk through those iconic gates onto the huge plaza. It's one of the biggest public spaces in the world! Just picturing the massive crowd will give me goosebumps. Then we'll visit themind-blowing Forbidden City, which was the royal palace for centuries. With nearly 10,000 rooms, I could spend days exploring every nook and cranny. I'll feel like a modern-day emperor wandering the endless hallways and gardens. My favorite part will definitely be hiking along the Great Wall of China. This enormous ancient wall winds across the countryside for thousands of miles, climbing up and down the green hills and mountains. No matter how many pictures I've seen, I know it will be even more breathtaking in person. I'll try my best to take in every view as we trek from watchtower to watchtower. Maybe I'll even get to explore the underground passages! I hope we go during the summer so we can have a picnic along the wall and take goofy family photos. That's something I'll remember forever. After all the sightseeing, we'll get to really immerse ourselves in Beijing's culture. I'll slurp up delicious bowls of noodles and dumplings from street vendors. The spicy scentsand sizzling sounds of the food carts will overwhelm my senses in the best way possible. We might even find a place to try the sweet crispy duck Beijing is famous for. My mouth waters just thinking about it! Then we'll bargain for souvenirs like sculptures, paintings, and jade trinkets at the bustling outdoor markets. I can't wait to practice my negotiating skills. Each night, we'll head back to our hotel and I'll be able to cool off in the pool before bed. I'll sleep like a rock after hiking all day, my head spinning with vivid memories. I know that five days in Beijing won't nearly be enough time to see and do everything, but it will be an adventure I'll cherish forever. Maybe my parents will even let me miss a few days of school when we get back so I can recover from jet lag!I have a whole five years until this China trip, but I'm already counting down the days. I'll need to spend that time studying hard, behaving well, and helping out extra around the house to prove I'm responsible enough. Then when the big day finally arrives, you can be sure I'll embrace every moment. I'll soak in every sight, smell, and sound like a total sponge. Beijing, get ready - an adventurous kid is coming your way in five years!篇4A Trip to Beijing in 5 YearsNext year, I will be in the 6th grade. In five years, when I am in the 10th grade, my family and I will go on an amazing trip to Beijing, the capital of China! I can't wait to experience everything this historic and fascinating city has to offer. The first thing I'll do is visit Tiananmen Square. I've learned all about its importance in history class. It will be so cool to stand in the massive square and gaze upon the portrait of Mao Zedong that overlooks it all. The Forbidden City, the former imperial palace, is right next door. I will wander around the many temples, gardens, and corridors, imagining what life was like for the emperors who lived there centuries ago.Speaking of ancient history, I definitely plan to walk along a section of the Great Wall of China during our Beijing trip. This incredible man-made wonder stretches over 13,000 miles across China's northern borders. I'll climb up to one of the watch towers and take in the beautiful views of the mountains and countryside that the Wall winds through. Just thinking about being up there on such an iconic historic site gives me goosebumps! For a break from all the walking around, maybe we'll catch an acrobat show one evening. The acrobats of Beijing are world-renowned for their incredible strength and flexibility. Justimagining them defying gravity and the laws of physics through their daring acts and contortions is mind-boggling. Their performances must be incredible to witness in person. No matter where we go though, I know the food will be out of this world. I already love Chinese food, but having it right in China is sure to be a whole new experience. I'll try all sorts of new dishes beyond just egg rolls and fried rice - maybe even Peking duck or dumplings from a street food stall. The smells alone from the street markets and restaurants will be hypnotizing.I'll make sure to stock up on fun souvenirs at places like the Silk Market, where I'll bargain with the vendors for the best deals on stuff like jade jewelry, ornate fans, traditional Chinese outfits, and more. I'll get some awesome treats and snacks from local candy shops too, like those cute carved animal figurines made of white rabbit candy. Maybe I'll even snag a pet cricket in one of those little bamboo cages! On our last night in Beijing, we will take an evening bike ride through some of the city's old hutong neighborhoods. These quaint residential areas with their narrow alleys and courtyard homes will give us a glimpse into the more traditional way of life in Beijing. I bet the sights, sounds, and aromas will be worldsaway from the modern skyscraper-filled areas we saw earlier in the week. When it's finally time to head back home to America, I know I'll be both sad to leave Beijing but also so grateful for all the amazing new experiences under my belt. This trip will have exposed me to such a different culture and way of life. I'll have walked in the footsteps of dynastic emperors and iconic figures from China's long, storied history. Most importantly though, I'll have created memories with my family that will last forever. Five years may feel like a long way off now, but I have a feeling that by the time our Beijing vacation arrives, it will have been well worth the wait!篇5A Trip to Beijing: My Future EscapadeNext year, I will be going on the most exciting adventure of my life – a trip to Beijing! The air will be thick with the aroma ofstreet food vendors selling tantalizing snacks like jianbing and tanghualu. The Forbidden City will transport me back in time, and I will feel like a young prince exploring his regal domain.Next, we will visit the iconic Great Wall of China, one of the modern wonders of the world. The breathtaking views from atop the Great Wall will be etched in my memory forever, and I will feel a sense of pride knowing that I have walked upon this legendary structure.Beijing is also renowned for its rich culinary heritage, and I can't wait to indulge in the city's mouthwatering delicacies. I will savor the flavors of Peking duck, a crispy-skinned delicacy that melts in your mouth. And for dessert, I will treat myself to asweet, sticky concoction of candied hawthorn berries, a beloved Beijing specialty. One of the highlights of our trip will be witnessing the mesmerizing acrobatic performances at the Chaoyang Theatre. I will be spellbound as the skilled performers contort their bodies into seemingly impossible positions, defying the laws of gravity with their remarkable feats of strength and agility. In our free time, we will explore the lively hutongs, the narrow alleyways that crisscross through the heart of Beijing. I will meander through these charming neighborhoods, admiring the traditional courtyard houses and catching glimpses of daily life as locals go about their routines. But I'll also need to bring my favorite stuffed animal, Mr. Fluffkins, because he simply has to come along for this adventure! I'm sure he'll love seeing all the new sights and trying the delicious Chinese food. The journey will start with a long flight from our hometown to Beijing. I've never been on a plane for that many hours before, but I'll make sure to bring plenty of games, books, and snacks to keep me entertained. Maybe I'll even get to watch a movie or two on the little screen in front of my seat!Once we land in Beijing, the real fun will begin. We will take a taxi or perhaps even a subway train to get to our hotel in the heart of the city. I can't wait to see the massive skyscrapers and bustling streets filled with people going about their daily lives. Everything will look and sound so different from back home! Our first stop will probably be the famous Forbidden City. This massive palace complex used to be home to China's emperors and their families. I'll feel like a little emperor myself as I wander through the ornate buildings and perfectly manicured gardens. Who knows, maybe I'll even get to try on one of those fancy emperor hats!Next up, we absolutely have to visit the Great Wall of China. This incredible structure stretches for thousands of miles across the country's northern borders. I'm sure the view from the top of the wall will be breathtaking! I'll make sure to bring my camera so I can take lots of pictures to show my friends back home.In between all the sightseeing and eating, we'll probably do some shopping too. I'm hoping to find the perfect souvenir to remember this amazing trip by. Maybe I'll get a traditional Chinese fan or a cute little figurine of one of Beijing's famous lion statues. Whatever I choose, it'll be something really special. As our time in Beijing starts to wind down, I know I'll be feeling a little sad to leave. But I'll make sure to soak up every last minute of this incredible experience. Who knows, maybe my family and I will even get to see part of the Summer Olympics taking place in Beijing that year! When we finally head back home, my heart and mind will be overflowing with amazing memories from this futuristic journey. I'll have so many stories to share with my classmates and teachers about my adventures in one of the world's most fascinating cities. Beijing, I can't wait to meet you in just a few short years!。
