It's the one day where I don't have to wake up super early for school and can just relax and have fun. I look forward to Sundays all week long!Most Sundays start off with me sleeping in late. My parents don't make me get up at the crack of dawn like on school days. I love being able to sleep as late as I want on Sundays. Sometimes I'll sleep until 10 or even 11am! When I finally do wake up, I head downstairs in my pajamas and have a big breakfast. My dad often makes pancakes, waffles, or french toast on Sundays which I love.After breakfast, I'll usually watch some TV or play video games for a little while. My parents are more relaxed about screen time limits on Sundays. I'll play some of the latest games or watch new episodes of my favorite shows. Sometimes I get so into gaming or bingeing a show that I completely lose track of time!Eventually, my mom will make me turn everything off and go outside to get some fresh air and exercise. We have a park near our house with a playground, basketball courts, and hiking trails.I love going to the park on Sundays to run around and get my energy out. If the weather is nice, my dad will grab a football or frisbee and we'll toss it around as a family. Other times we'll go for a hike on the trails and look for cool plants, animals, and rocks. Getting outdoors is one of my favorite parts of Sundays.In the afternoon, we'll often go out and do something fun as a family like going to a museum, a sports game, or the movies. But shooting basketball hoops is hard forme still. I'm not very tall yet so I have to put a lot of effort into my shot to get it high enough. I'll get there eventually though!If the weather is nice enough, we may pack a picnic lunch to have at the park. My mom makes great sandwiches, like turkey and cheese or peanut butter and jelly. We'll pick a shady spot under a tree to eat our lunch and just enjoy being outside for a while. Sometimes after eating we'll go on a little hike through the woods if everyone feels up for it.When we finally get back home in the afternoon, I'm usually pretty tired from running around all day. I'll take a little rest and read books or play quieter games for a bit. My parents try to limit my screen time on Sundays too, which is probably a good thing. Too much TV or iPad isn't great for my brain.For dinner, we'll often get take-out or have something easy like tacos or pizza. Sundays are the one night my parents don't really want to do heavy cooking. And I'm absolutely fine with that!
