Instead, he stayed at the airport, sleeping on a chair in the lobby, bathing in the bathroom and making a living serving passengers who drifted by. In the eyes of others, he is justlike a clown, but he is very sincere to everyone, believes in everyone and everything, he can find a side to make people happy, and he is meticulous in his work, and his curiosity about human beings can never be satisfied. In fact, under the high pressure of society, we are easy to see things bad side, will always produce a lot of complaints, dealing with difficult, dealing with the dilemma, we always in a pessimistic mood to deal with, or avoid, or sigh, or sad, we ignore a lot of time, a lot of things will have one side of the heart. The Terminal transported me to a surreal realm where Viktor Navorski, a hapless traveler from a war-torn country, became stranded in New York's JFK airport due to a bureaucratic mix-up. As I witnessed Viktor's extraordinary resilience and unwavering optimism amidst the airport's constant hustle and bustle, I was deeply moved. Each day, Viktor transformed the airport into a microcosm of his homeland, creating a sense of familiarity amidst the unfamiliar. He learned to navigate its labyrinthine corridors, befriended its eclectic characters, and embraced the beauty of human connection within the airport's steel and glass confines.Viktor's journey resonated with me on a profound level. It reminded me that happiness is not a destination but a state of mind that can be found even in the most unexpected places. His indomitable spirit and unwavering belief in the goodness of humanity inspired me to appreciate the simplejoys of life and to embrace the unexpected with open arms.Despite the challenges he faced, Viktor never lostsight of his dreams. He worked tirelessly to make a better life for himself and those around him, proving that even in the most challenging circumstances, the human spirit can soar. The Terminal is more than just a film; it is a testament to the power of human resilience and the indomitable nature of the human spirit.

Name:Class:Date:The Terminal of HappinessThe Terminal is a sweet and delicate comedy which makes you hold your breath and smiles with tears. It always can bring big laughs, but it never seems to make an effort for them. The movie is Spielberg‟s tale of an almost childlike innocent and initially impresses as an extraordinary gamble for mainstream American filmmakers because Spielberg were to make a movie in 2004 where there is no sex, no violence and with a plot so homespun. However, it‟s a film of quie tly effective performances. The Terminal is supposedly based on the true story of an Iranian man who camped out at an airport in Paris. In this film airport is changed to the JFK International Airport and the protagonist is a visitor named Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) from a fictitious small Eastern European country that was taken over in a coup while he was airborne. Therefore his passport and visa are worthless, because his country no longer exists, he cannot go forward or go back. In other words, he is only free to remain in the International Arrivals Lounge, forbidden to step foot on American soil. Although in the real world, Viktor would be declared a political refugee and all sorts of U.S. and international authorities would become involved in his case.Dixon, the customs and immigrations official, goes by the rules, but he has no great love of the rules. Sometimes the rules are cruel, but he takes no joy in the cruelty. At first, Dixon wants Navorski spontaneously out of the terminal because Viktor‟s si tuation is an exception. Actually Dixon's plan is to pass Navorski on to another jurisdiction such as FBI and NYPD which will take the matter out of his hands if he leaves the airport. But Viktor has no guile, no hidden motives, and no suspicion of others. He wants to access to America through the legal system, so he refuses to break the law. Later Dixon offers him political asylum. "Are you afraid ofreturning to your country?" Unexpectedly he is determinate to say "Not afraid," He is unwilling to betray to his homeland even just lie. At the end, he seems to become a permanent resident of the terminal. In the terminal, Viktor shows remarkable ingenuity in making it a habitable place and learning English, at the same time, impresses the terminal staff with his generosity and indomitable spirit. Viktor helps the food deliver man to woo an attractive immigration officer; makes friends with an East Indian caretaker, who waxes a floor to make people slip for laughs; wins a great reputation through help a Russian get pills to save his father by lying to the customer official but still abbey the regulation. Be touched by Viktor, the staff assists him when he falls for an exceptionally pretty flight attendant (Catherine Zeta-Jones) who is trapped in a hopeless affair with a slick married man who somehow meets her in the departure lounge without a ticket. There are several parts unsatisfied. At the beginning, Spielberg shows his racial discrimination on Chinese travelers. As a big director, he shouldn‟t show his outl ook on some sensitive topic which may make a bad effect on international relationship. The film as a whole offers a sense of closure, but two subplots are left frustratingly unresolved. What‟s the way to make up the leak of the Custom‟s system? Why the flight attendant can‟t have a happy ending? Then there are the product placements, and they are all over the place. Audients recently complained about the same kind of commercialism, but it's worse here. Burger King, Sbarro, Borders, Starbucks. Nearly every kind of establishment to have a foothold in an airport gets plenty of screen time. Of course, with all of the fast food Viktor eats, one has to wonder whether Morgan Spurlock will suddenly show up with his Super Size Me cameras. Although it becomes increasingly sentimental and whimsical in its final act with a climax that's so saccharine and movie-ish, unfortunately, it's almost harder to swallow than the film's relentless, shameless product placement.Yet for all its faults, "The Terminal" could turn out to be 2004‟s triumphant piece of summer counter-programming: a gentle alternative to noisy kid-orientedaction flicks, raucous comedies and the agitprop of "Fahrenheit 9/11." There is humanity in its humor that reminds you of sequences in Chaplin or Keaton where comedy and sadness find a fragile balance.About freedomJFK International Airport is a microcosm of American society, customs agents are redeemable bureaucrats, and foreign travelers are resourceful innocents. Spielberg gives some quick, weak stabs at political topicality. “when he rushed to the snowy New York City, all airport staff celebrates for his unwavering will to fulfill his father‟s dream, not for American freedom in orally or so-called democratic.”(Zhu Xubin)About ordinary“The Terminal is not a big-scene movie with a heroic protagonist worshiped by the publics. There is only ordinary person with a warm-heart to help others. The film manipulates an active life attitude------Never give up and keep optimistic------through such a living-lov ing ordinary people.” (Gu Li 61-65)About destiny“Amelia mentioned that Napoleon gives Josephine a necklace as wedding present with the word …destiny‟ on its back. Destiny might is held in everyone‟s hand, but sometimes it‟s not like that. We can‟t control, change, and choose just like Amelia finally chooses to stay with her troublesome love. …Destiny‟ is a complicated philosophy, so the film has not an all-satisfied ending.”(Guo Shilei,Zhang Nannan096--097)About waitingWaiting is a kind of belief. After long time‟s waiting, Viktor fulfills his father‟s will; sees the peace of his country; accesses to America; waits for the opportunity to go home. But happiness hasn‟t the final terminal, so we should wait with aspiration.I like to use the conversation between Viktor and Amelia to end my paper.—I have to go.—I have to stay.—Story of my life.—Me too.We are all travelers of this world. 2010Gu Li. “The Terminal.” New Oriental English, Listening & Speaking, 319.4 (2005):60-65.Zhu Xubin. “Waiting in Travel.” Mtime. 2006. 28 June. 2006< /xubin/blog/294703/ >。

After watching the movie "Happiness is a Warm Story", I was deeply moved by its heartwarming and emotional storyline. The film tells the story of a young girl named Xiao Ai who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and has a limited time left to live. Despite her tragic circumstances, she remains optimistic and full of life, demonstrating the true meaning of happiness. One of the most touching aspects of the movie is the extraordinary bond between Xiao Ai and her father. Despite facing the inevitable loss of his daughter, he remains by her side, providing her with love and support until the very end. Their relationship shows the immense strength and resilience of the human spirit, as they find joy in the simple moments shared together.Furthermore, the film sheds light on the power of community and the importance of human connection. Xiao Ai's illness not only brings her closer to her family but also unites the entire neighborhood in a compassionate and loving way. From her friends at school to the local shop owners, everyone plays a role in creating a supportive and caring environment for Xiao Ai. This portrayal of communal love and solidarity is truly heartwarming and reminds us of the strength we can find in each other during times of sadness.Another aspect of the movie that resonated with me was the message it conveys about finding happiness in the midst of adversity. Xiao Ai's positive outlook on life despite her circumstances is truly inspiring. She cherishes every moment and appreciates the beauty of the world around her. This serves as areminder to us all to embrace the present and find joy in the little things, even when life seems difficult. The cinematography of the film also deserves praise. The vibrant colors and enchanting scenery capture the essence of happiness and beauty, creating a visually stunning experience for the viewer. The use of symbolism throughout the movie, such as the blooming of flowers and the soaring of butterflies, adds an additional layer of depth and meaning to the story. These artistic choices enhance the emotional impact of the film and further immerse the audience in Xiao Ai's world. In conclusion, "Happiness is a Warm Story" is a truly remarkable film that explores the themes of love, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness. Through its poignant storyline, relatable characters, and stunning visuals, it manages to touch the hearts of viewers and remind us of the preciousness of life. This movie serves as a powerful reminder to cherish our loved ones, find strength in community, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of love and happiness.。

Viktor Navorski

幸福终点站读后感英文**The Reflections of "The Terminal"**In the heart of New York City, amidst the hustle and bustle of JFK International Airport, a story of hope, perseverance, and love unfolded in the movie "The Terminal". Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks, this film tells the tale of Viktor Navorski, a man from afictional Eastern European country who finds himself stranded in the airport when his country is overthrown in a political coup. Unable to enter the United States or return to his homeland, Viktor is forced to live in theinternational transit area of the airport, where he must survive the challenges of bureaucracy, loneliness, and the ever-changing political landscape. What struck me the most about this movie is the resilience and determination of Viktor Navorski. Despitehis initial confusion and dismay, he quickly adapts to his new life in the airport. He makes friends with the employees, learns to speak their language, and even finds a way to make a living by selling magazines and other items. His refusal to give up hope, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, is truly inspiring.Another noteworthy aspect of the movie is the portrayal of the diverse characters who populate the airport. Each character, whether it be a TSA agent, a customs official, or a fellow stranded traveler, has their own unique story and struggle. The movie beautifully illustrates how, despite our differences, we are all connected and share a common humanity. The relationship between Viktor and the airport's manager, Amelia Warren, adds a layer of warmth and humor to the film. Amelia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, is astrict and no-nonsense woman who initially does not take Viktor's situation seriously. However, as she gets to know him and sees his determination and kindness, she starts to soften and even helps him in his endeavors. This relationship serves as a reminder that, even in the coldest and most impersonal of places, there is still room for compassion and understanding. The political undercurrents of the film are also worth mentioning. Through Viktor's situation, the movie commentson the ever-changing political landscape and the impact it has on individuals. It shows how easily political upheaval can disrupt the lives of ordinary people and how difficultit can be to find stability and a sense of belonging insuch uncertain times.Overall, "The Terminal" is a heartwarming and uplifting film that left me with a sense of hope and optimism. It reminds us that, no matter what challenges life throws at us, we have the power to persevere and find happiness evenin the most unexpected of places. The film's message ofhope and unity is one that we can all take with us into our own lives and apply to our own situations. Whether we are stranded in an airport or facing other challenges in life, we can draw strength from Viktor Navorski's story and finda way to make the most of our situation and find happiness along the way.**《幸福终点站》读后感**在纽约市的心脏地带,位于肯尼迪国际机场的喧嚣之中,《幸福终点站》这部影片上演了一个充满希望、毅力和爱的故事。
