大学里什么令我印象深刻英语作文

大学里什么令我印象深刻英语作文

大学里什么令我印象深刻英语作文What Impressed Me Most in CollegeHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I haven't actually been to college yet, but my big brother Josh just graduated and he told me all about his experiences. Some of the things he said really stuck with me and made a big impression. Let me tell you about them!First off, Josh said the classes were huge! Can you believe there were like 500 students in his Intro to Psychology course? That's more kids than my entire elementary school! He said it was kind of intimidating at first with this gigantic lecture hall full of people. But after a little while, he got used to it. The professors would just talk and talk using big words and graphs on the screen. Josh had to take really good notes to keep up. I'm not sure I could handle lectures that big yet. I'd probably get distracted looking around at everyone. Or fall asleep! Haha.Another thing Josh told me was that he had so much freedom in college. At home, our parents are always telling us what to do - clean your room, do your homework, be home by curfew. But in college, Josh said no one really told him what to do. He could go to class or skip it. He could stay up all nightplaying video games if he wanted. He was finally treated like a real adult who could make his own choices. Of course, with that freedom came responsibility too. If he skipped too many classes, his grades would suffer. If he stayed up too late, he'd be too tired to learn properly. Josh said it took him a little while, but he eventually figured out how to use his freedom wisely. I'll probably appreciate that freedom when I'm older, but I kind of like having my parents give me a schedule and rules to follow for now.One experience Josh had that amazed me was living in the dorms his first year. He basically lived in a tiny apartment with a roommate he had never met before! Can you imagine sharing a small room with a total stranger? Josh said it was pretty awkward at first and they had to learn about each other and set boundaries. Like his roommate liked the room to be freezing cold, but Josh liked it warm. Or Josh is a night owl who stayed up late, but his roommate liked to go to bed early. Over time though, they figured it out and became great friends. Josh said it was great practice for living with others since that's what the "real world" after college is like. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of close quarters with someone other than family yet!Another cool thing about college that Josh told me about was all the clubs and activities you could join. Josh was really into rock climbing, so he joined the rock climbing club. He went with them on camping trips to climb at national parks andlearnt all about setting anchors, rappelling, and advanced techniques. There were clubs for every imaginable interest - skiing, chess, improv comedy, you name it! In elementary school, we basically just have sports teams. But in college, there are groups for any hobby, no matter how niche. Josh said being part of the rock climbing community was one of the best parts of college for him since he made so many friends with similar interests. It's giving me lots of ideas for clubs I might want to join when I'm older, like Lego building or bug collecting!Speaking of friends, Josh made SO many of them in college from all kinds of different backgrounds that he never would have met growing up in our small town. Thanks to social media and modern technology, he's still close with many of them today even though they're scattered all over the world. Josh studied abroad one semester too and got to travel to Italy and other European countries. I was pretty jealous hearing about his international adventures! Just by being on a diverse college campus, Josh said his eyes were opened to all sorts of new cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. He really grew as aperson. I can't wait to have mind-expanding experiences like that one day!Of course, not everything about college sounded fun and games. Josh told me about the endless writing assignments, tough exams, and constant pressure to perform well. He had to write so many papers analyzing books, researching topics, and defending his arguments. And then he'd have to turn around and cram for big tests worth a huge percentage of his grade. No thanks! Josh said there were also lots of practical skills he had to learn, like doing laundry, cooking basic meals, being on a budget, time management, and meeting deadlines. He got a part-time job too to make some spending money. Looking back, he said navigating all those responsibilities and stresses was some of the best preparation for "real life" as an adult in the working world. I'm honestly not sure I could have cut it with all that intensity when I was 18! No wonder Josh grew up so much in those 4 years. So those are some of the highlights and insights Josh shared about his time at university. As you can probably tell, I was both amazed and intimidated by everything he experienced! The sheer size and scale of the lecturehalls and campuses, the independence of choosing your own path, the bonding withroommates, the abundance of niche interests and diverse friend groups, the academic rigors and life skills - it all sounded both incredibly exciting and incredibly daunting. While parts of me can't wait for that journey to start, another part of me is still content being a carefree kid without all those grown-up responsibilities for now. Josh said college was simultaneously one of the most amazing and difficult periods of his life so far. But he wouldn't trade the experience for anything since it allowed him to truly discover his passions, gain confidence, and prepare for the "real world." Hearing about Josh's transformative experiences in university has definitely motivated me to work hard, explore my interests, and get the most out of college when I'm older too. Maybe I'll even join Timmy's Terrific Lego Builders club! For now though, I've got plenty of time to keep being a kid. No need to rush towards adulthood. Thanks for letting me tell you all about what impressed me most from Josh's college tales. I'll leave you with one last piece of Josh's advice: "Don't wish away the present, but always have one eye towards an amazing future!"。

See-off turns to a Failure
As a four-grade undergraduate, the theme of June is to say goodbye. Each party contains both joy and sorrow. But there can always be the first one to leave school, like Xu. Xu is one of the most outgoing students in my class, and he gets along well with everyone here. And there’s some special relationship between Xu and me . We were in the same team to debate against another class in our first year, then we joined the same department in student union. We had more chances to communicate, to share ideas and to co-operate.
On 22nd June, the last day of Xu in our university, our active monitor came up with an idea that the class got together in the playground and hold a special party for Xu. In the evening ,we brought a camera, some color pens, even dishes and beers. Xu hold his emotion and thanked every one. Although he tried his best to make us relaxed, he didn’t stop our drops successfully. We signed on his white T-shit, took photos with him during party time. We all wish that time could stop at that moment, but we still went back to our dormitory at about 21 o’clock. Since Xu had to take the earliest plane and fly to his hometown, Guangdong province.
I couldn’t sleep well that night. So I got up early the next morning and called him for the permission of seeing him off. He told me not to get to the airport because the airport was too far away from our school and it might took me a long time, and just to wait for a taxi with him. Then we stood at our gate but we had no word except the feeling of sadness. The taxi came, he gave me a warm hug and invited me to his hometown. We couldn’t hold our tears again.
Two hours later, I got his massage that he was on the way back to school. That was really a huge surprise. I called him and asked for reason, but it was too loud in that side to hear clearly. The second massage told me that “thanks to”the annoying traffic jam, he wasted too much time, and when he reach the airport, the plane which he should have taken was flying over his head. Then he took a train back from the airport. After I understood what he had experienced, I ran to the train station to help him carry luggage happily.
When we met again in the station, he has already endorsed the ticket. Then we took subway to our university. We talked about the traffic jam in Changchun in the subway. At the moment we arrived, it winded, rained, and hailed. What unlucky most is we didn’t get prepare for such bad weather. Then, we stay in subway station until it seemed not heavy anymore. After five minutes’ walking, it became heavy again. Drenched in the rain, we ran to a garage for shelter. Almost a hour later, sun came out from behind cloud eventually.
However, the day he went back home by air in actual, I was too busy in my biochemistry experiment to see him off . I feel regretful up to now.。
