the importance of recyling

The Importance of RecyclingGood afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am glad to stand here and give you my speech. As the saying goes, dirt is said to be matter in the wrong place. It's recycling that achieves this transition. As a result, we should learn its significance. On the one hand, it can save natural resources. According to China Resource Recycling Association, one ton of recycled paper can save 24 trees. What’s more, early in 2005 the Guardian has reported that two-thirds of natural resources are confronted with depletion. In this case, what shall we do? Of course, recycling. On the other hand, it candecreasemunicipal refuse, control pollution and beautify the environment. Statistics shows that more than one-thirds of Chinese cities are fighting with garbage siege. However, about 40% of the garbage is recyclable. Japan resolved this problem successfully. Attaching great importance to recycling may be an essential reason. For example, Hengbin, a charming Japanese city, printed a twenty-seven-pages booklet ,including 518 details to conduct citizens to classify garbage and recycle. So why don't we recycle?Ladies and gentlemen, to recycle or not to recycle is a choice. If we choose to recycle, the way lies open to sustainable development; instead, nothing lies before but waste and pollution.。

The Importance of Recycling
my topic today is the importance of recycling.
Speaking of recycling, most of us will agree with its necessity. I don’t think
there is any necessity to say that recycling can save energy, protect the environment and so on, because we all know its meaning. What I want to say is that how much energy we could save if we put the rubbish into right place.
In fact, whether in the street or on campus, we always see trash can in pairs. A yellow one and a green one. I believe that everyone understand the meaning of these two signs. Unfortunately, in our country, many people ignore them, few people would really put the rubbish into the correct position.
This might be a little trouble and waste of time, but think about it, kitchen waste can be recycled to make livestock feed; hazardous waste recycling prevents pollution on humans and the environment; most of other components of the waste can be recycled. The waste of time compared to these advantages is simply negligible.
Recycling is import ant in today’s world if we want to leave this planet for our future generations. Maybe we don’t have the capacity to deal with these garbage to become useful again, but what each of us can do is to classify the rubbish!
Let’s classify garbage, this is the biggest contribution that we can make for recycling. We should make contribution to conserve resources as we can.。
