The first part deals with the concept of functional equivalence and its aims and principles. The main aim of functional equivalence is to represent the information of the original work in the target language and achieve the equivalence of functions of languages. In order to make this concept clear, the author gives a brief introduction of different functions. Although different languages have different characteristics, their functions are nearly the same. The translation work which follows the principles of functionalequivalence is much easier to understand.However, functional equivalence is very abstract to most people. In order to make it clear, this paper chooses advertisement translation to analyze its every aspect. Due to the differences between English and Chinese, the advertisement translation from English to Chinese should be undertaken in different translation techniques with the guidance of functional equivalence.(空一行)similarities are more than the differences between English and Chinese. The equivalence of languages makes it possible to convert the source language into the target language. However, the convert is not just a process to translate the words from one language to another language. Translation should be a task to recur the information of the original work in a most natural way. That is to say, translation should rebuild the surficial forms of the original information, convert the views of expression and replace the meaning of the original work with the meaning of the translated work. Therefore, equivalence is the most important basis for translation. The translated work can be of higher quality if it achieves more equivalence with the original work.Functional equivalence is originally termed as dynamic equivalence, which is to be defined by the degree where the receptor of the source language message should respond in substantially the same way as thetarget language receptor to the translated version. It is very important to all kinds of translation. The reason is that English and Chinese have many differences in their forms, grammars, sentence structures and so on. Therefore, in the process of translation, to convey the information of the original work is the focus and the most difficult part. After all, the receptors of the translated work expect to know the content of theoriginal work.Functional equivalence also emphasizes the cultural elements. If a translated work does not reflect the cultural elements of the original work, it must be a failure. 大学英语专业论文六篇高校英语专业论文范文1(一)职后培训短缺高校英语老师的职后培训状况不容乐观。

以笔者所在学校为例,本院共有在岗并从事高校英语课程教学的老师56人,每工作5年有1次进修经受(包括攻读学位、访学、留学,进修时间不少于1年)的老师不到10%。

35岁以下的老师除攻读学位而外,有外出进修经受的人次为1人。

教龄达20年以上的高校英语老师16人,近10年内进修过的比例为43.7%;教龄在10年至15年的老师(攻读学位除外)13人中仅2人有进修经受,笔者本人工作14年多次申请进修未果。

从课间休息时老师之间的沟通中获悉,多数高校英语老师都有外出进修的剧烈愿望,但皆因各种缘由未能如愿以偿。

主要缘由有两项:一是高校高校英语教学工作任务太重不能放人,除非攻读学位,"工作量大,教学任务繁重是阻碍高校英语老师自身进展的客观缘由'[2];二是接受老师进修的高校少且每年可接收的老师数量有限。

其余渠道的进修培训不多,"高校英语老师培训网'只有"培训负责人和技术负责人'能申请注册,受众面比较窄。

(二)教学颇受诟病社会上多年来盛行不衰的形形的英语培训学校、辅导班,以及讨论中大量消失的"哑巴英语'和"聋子英语'等词汇使得广阔英语老师颇受诟病。

将英语辅导学校的盛行归因于学校英语教学的不力好像有几分道理。

高校生参加高校英语教学状况调查时亦做出类似反馈,将胜利归因于自身的努力,而将失败归因于高校英语老师的教学不得法[3]。

此处暂不考虑这样的归因是否合乎规律,但高校英语老师无论如何是脱不了干系的。

首先,绝大多数中学校英语老师是高等教育培育的。

其次,作为"哑巴英语'和"聋子英语'携带者的高校生们刚走出高校校门即被识破,充分说明高校英语的教学质量如何。

再者,为提高高校英语教学质量,21世纪以来,高校英语教学改革的不断推动和是否广泛推广ESP专业英语教学的争辩热点都不约而同地指向高校英语老师专业化进展的必要性和紧迫性。

泰山医学院英语专业本科生毕业论文格式规范要求外国语学院英语专业适用专业:英语专业本科、英语专业专升本、英语第二专业(学位)毕业论文是教学计划中最后一个综合性实践教学环节,是学生在教师指导下,独立从事科学研究工作的全面体现。

为了进一步提高我院毕业论文质量,规范毕业论文写作,根据《泰山医学院本科毕业论文(设计)工作条例(修订)》精神,并参阅《泰医教字〔2007〕21号:泰山医学院本科毕业设计(论文)工作管理规定》,现对毕业论文格式要求补充和说明,要求指导教师及英语本科专业毕业生予以执行。

一、总体要求毕业论文包括封面、标题、目录、英文摘要及英文关键词、中文摘要及中文关键词、正文、(注释)、参考文献、致谢等部分组成,并按上述顺序排列。

本科生毕业设计(论文)(以下简称毕业设计)应规范、完整,符合学校的规定和要求。

一律用A4纸打印,页边距上、下、左、右均为2.2厘米。

1. 封面及题目毕业论文(设计)封面按泰山医学院规定格式填写。

封面选用光面纸张,并按照学校设计的固定格式填写。

英文题目用“小一号Times New Roman加粗”填写,中文题目“小一号黑体”填写,所在院系、专业、年级、班级、学号、学生姓名、指导教师和日期等用“三号仿宋体”填写。

2.行距设置毕业论文内容及各种标题(包括摘要、目录、致谢、参考文献)的行距设置统一选用固定值23磅。

3.字体设置(1)“Contents”、“Abstract”、“Acknowledgements”、“Bibliography”英文字样均选用“Times New Roman”三号加粗,“摘要”等中文字样均选用“三号黑体”,其他内容统一选用“小四号Times New Roman”。
