一、教学目标
1.知识与能力。
A.学生能听、说、认、读本节课的词汇：tomato，potato，carrot，green beans，掌握形、音、义，单复数形式。
了解onion这个单词。
B.能应用目标句型： Look at the... They are...，并描述所学蔬菜的特征。
2.过程与方法。
学生能在语境中正确运用词汇并描述特点。
能完成课堂任务，在活动中结合let’s talk内容，综合使用目标词汇。
3.情感态度价值观。
A.学生能了解本节课蔬菜的特点，知道多吃蔬菜有益健康，乐意尝试不同的蔬菜。
B.能在活动中体验与同学合作的乐趣，通过完成学习任务体验学习英语的快乐。
二、教学重难点
重点：学生能在语境中掌握目标词汇的音、形、义，注意词汇的单复数形式区别，特别是tomato，potato和green beans。
难点：能在双人和小组活动中综合地使用目标词汇和句型，描述所学蔬菜的特点。

四、教学流程
Step1 Warm-up
1. Let’s sing：“ Hello！ Hello！”
（设计思路：通过集体合唱歌曲，师生相互问好，活跃课堂气氛，使学生快速进入英语学习。
）
2. Let’s free talk
Sample：
A：Look at these. Are they…？
B： Yes， they are. / No，they aren’t.
A： What are these？
B：They are …
（设计思路：学生观察教学挂图1中的农场，小组谈论图中内容，应用已掌握句型：Look at these. Are they…？ What are these？复习Let’s tal k的会话，巩固句型中关于复数形式的理解与应用；同时，在语境中使用tomatoes和carrots这两个新词汇，为新课的学习做好准备。
）
Step2 Presentation
（目标：学习tomato& tomatoes，potato& potatoes，carrot& carrots，和green beans这四组目标词汇，掌握音、形、义，理解其单复数形式的应用。
了解onion这个单词。
）
A： tomato& tomatoes
1. A riddle for tomato
“It is red and round. It is yummy. It looks like an apple，but it isn’t an apple. What is it？”
（设计思路：以猜谜的方式引入tomato这个词汇，谜语用学生熟悉的单词准确描述了tomato的特别，学生开动脑筋，理解这种蔬菜的特点，增添学习的趣味性；同时为之后关于蔬菜描述的学习提供了示例和知识准备，铺垫之后的练习。
）
2. Ask and answer
T：What’s this？
Ss：It’s a tomato. It’s red， round and yummy.
T： What are these？
Ss：They are tomatoes. They are so yummy.
（设计思路：师生互动，呈现图片，用问答的方式操练tomato和tomatoes，注意单复数的应用，并对其进行简单描述，掌握描述词：yummy，为之后的chant做准备；同时巩固let’s talk的会话内容，在情境中使用词汇。
）
3. Small chant
“Tomatoes， tomatoes，I like tomatoes.”
（设计思路：根据tomato的学习，利用small chant的形式和节奏说唱，学生能巩固词汇，表达对tomato的热爱，为之后学习Let’s chant做好铺垫。
）
（用相同的模式学习potato& potatoes，引导学生区别在词、音上相近的单词tomato& potato，强调在原词形后加“es”。
之后学习carrot & carrots，green beans。
）

（设计意图：向学生展示一个切开的onion，让学生真实地感受Onions make me cry。
提示学生注意an onion的表达方式。

通过TPR“全身动作反应法”，演唱英文歌曲，烘托课堂氛围，帮助学生尽快进入学习状态，充分调动学生学习英语的兴趣。
