Unit 8 Why don’t you get her a scarf?Section B宁波市第十五中学实验校区胡科宇一、单元分析本单元围绕“Giving gift”开展听、说、读、写等一系列教学活动，主要是学习如何给别人买礼物及各种句型建议别人买礼物。
本单元的核心语言项目是“Compare qualities”. SectionB 对不同宠物的观点，围绕着should 和how about 等表示提建议的句式，逐步扩展。
SectionB 边循环SectionA 中出现的语言目标，边介绍新词汇。
然后，设计了两个听力活动，分别从两个层面，宏观到细节，帮助学生学习如何比较不同的动物。
具体而言：1a是词汇的拓展，引入宠物的词汇。
1b对宠物进行相关描述，为后面的活动奠定基础。
2a-2c围绕对不同宠物的评论进行了听力、口语训练；3a是一篇有关pets的阅读材料，要求学生了解宠物的优缺点，3b要求学生能够根据一幅宠物图片进行应用写作。
3c 是一个开放性的写作练习，学生描述自己喜欢宠物，也是应用训练。
4设计了小组活动，要求学生讨论家里养宠物的好处和坏处，这是使用目标语言表述个人观点，体现了语言的功能性。
二、学情分析宠物话题，学生对此有一定的生活经验，有利于知识范围的延伸，在对话中，学生可以发散思维，表达他们已有的不同的生活经历。

教学设想：
本文围绕“谈论礼物”这一话题展开，涉及到的语言目标是比较品质，语法是情态动词的运用及发表建议的句子。
因此在教学过程中，我采取互动交流，合作讨论的思路，充分发挥学生的积极主动性和参与性。
我以任务型教学方式实施课堂教学，本课中设计了几个创造性的:任务：礼品展、特别的礼物送给特别的人、当参谋等。
几个任务的设计贴近生活，让学生体会到语言源于生活、用于生活，从而热爱学习英语。
