三、教学重难点和教学设想
(一)教学重难点
1.词汇和语法:本节课的重点词汇和语法结构是学生在理解和运用上的难点,如:adventure, explore, danger, risk等词汇的正确使用,以及文章中涉及的复杂语法结构。
2.阅读理解:学生对文章深层含义的理解,尤其是对探险过程中人物情感变化的把握,是教学的难点。

6. They think it’s rude to push in before others.It is + adj + (for sb) + to do sth. (对某人来说,)做某事……句型中的it是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的to do sth.e.g.问英国人多大年龄是不礼貌的。

push v. 推,挤和push相对应的词是pull,可意为“拉,拖,拔”。

e.g. Don’t the door. it, please. 不要推门。

请拉开。

push in 插队,加塞美国人常用“cut in”7. If you’re in their way, they won’t touch you or push past you.in one’s way 挡住某人的路e.g. I couldn't walk very fast because a lot of people got .我不能走的很快,因为很多人挡了我的路。

touch vt. 触摸,碰e.g. You can’t that thing. 你不能碰那个东西。

8. They’ll say “excuse me” and be polite enough to wait till you move.excuse既可以作名词,也可以作动词。

作名词时,可意为“借口”;作动词时,可意为“原谅”。

e.g. Mary explained why she was late, but we didn’t accept her excuse.玛丽解释了为什么他迟到了,但是我们没有接受她的借口。

Please excuse him for arriving late.请原谅他来晚了。

Excuse me. 劳驾Excuse me和I’m sorry的用法不同,前者是打扰或麻烦别人的客套用语,后者则是做错事后的道歉用语。

e.g. Excuse me. Can you tell me how to go to the park?劳驾,你能告诉我如何去公园吗?I’m sorry. I broke your glass this morning.很抱歉,我早上打碎了你的杯子。

9. British people are very polite at home as well, aren’t they?as well (as) 也,还有e.g. I write my own songs and I play the guitar as well.我唱自己谱曲的歌,也弹吉他。

as well一般不用否定句,通常放在句末,强调时可放在句中。

either用于否定句,放在句末,之前加逗号。

too语气较轻,多用于口语,在肯定句中使用,通常位于句末。

also比too正式一些,语气较重,只用于肯定句,一般紧靠动词。

10. Just as the saying goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”saying n. 谚语;格言e.g. My grandpa knows a lot of English sayings.我的祖母知道很多英语格言。

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.入乡随俗。

英语习语,其省略形式when in Rome也可以表达同样的意思。
