我国轮滑运动发展的历史沿革
1980年，加入国际轮滑联合会。 1982年，正式设立轮滑竞赛项目。 1983年，召开中国轮滑协会第一届全国代表大会。 1984年，加入亚洲轮滑联合会。 1985年，举办首届全国轮滑锦标赛。 1985年，首次组队参加亚洲锦标赛和世界锦标赛。 2002年，轮滑项目列入全国体育大会比赛项目。 2006年，第三届体育大会增设花样轮滑项目。 2010年，轮滑项目首次列入亚运会比赛项目。
（一）轮滑运动的概念
轮滑（Roller skating ），又称滚轴溜冰、 滑旱冰，是穿着带滚轮的特制鞋在坚硬的 场地上滑行的运动。今日多数的滚轴溜冰 者主要都使用直排轮，又称刷刷、 66， （直排旱冰爱好者对这项运动的别称，来 源于溜冰中轮子和地面摩擦时所发出的声 音，同时也称溜冰鞋为“刷子”，称在马 路上溜冰为“刷街”，而66与溜溜同音， 更有趣味顺口，多为爱好者的互称）。因 此直排轮也几乎成为了轮滑运动的代名词。
大，不太方便做花式动作。有 5轮4轮之分：
5轮配置一般是 84MM×5 / 90MM×5
4轮配置一般是 100MM×4 / 100 84 100 100
另外，速滑鞋为了保证脚腕灵活的运动，
采用了无CUFF设计（就是没有鞋帮的意思），
所以使用不当很容易造成扭伤拉伤，新手尽量
不要去尝试速滑鞋。

2010年第16亚运会轮滑首次成为正式比赛项目。国际 正式比赛的速度轮滑场地赛的跑道长度为 200米，宽度 不小于6米。花样轮滑的场地为50×25米，照明充足， 地面平滑。
