所以在教学中必须充分发挥学生的“主观能动性”，让学生直接参与到历史教学中去，激发学生学习历史的兴趣，形成一定的历史观，让学生在创新教学中会学、好学、乐学，从而提高初中学历史课堂教学的效果。
关键词：初中历史教学，主体地位，教法，学法 现代教育心理学研究指出，学生的学习过程不仅是一个接受知识的过程，而且也是一个发现问题、分析问题、解决问题的过程。
这个过程一方面是暴露学生产生各种疑问、困难、障碍和矛盾的过程，另一方面是展示学生发展聪明才智、形成独特个性与创新成果的过程。
因此，新课程强调过程，强调在教学活动中要倡导学生主体地位，重视学生个性的发展。
教师要在研究教材教法的基础上，要重视研究学生的学，探索学生学习的规律，注重学生学习方法的指导与训练，同时，要注重运用多样化的教学方法和手段，有效调动学生的视觉、听觉、触觉等多种器官协同参与教学过程，使学生有充分的动眼、动身、动手、动口、动脑的机会，在亲自感知、操作、实践的思考的过程中，获得知识技能并发展智力、能力，进而学会学习并乐于学习。
那么，我们应该怎样突出学生的主体地位呢？下面我就以初中历史教学为例谈谈自己的见解。
一、创设调动学生思维的问题情境，营造促使学生深入思考与广泛参与的思维空间。
初中学生年龄一般在13-14岁左右，正处在身心转型期，求知欲强，好奇心大，对事物的感知力较强，喜欢形式多样、活泼生动、贴近生活的教学模式，他们对具有故事情节及具体形象的历史事件和历史人物感兴趣，最容易掌握那些用直观形象作支柱特征的概念，但要对此作全面分析还有一定的困难。
随着社会经济的发展，科技水平的进步，学生群体的特征也正发生着变化，他们从各种媒体获取的信息和知识越来越多、越来越新，自发的探索求知欲已经相当强烈。
