• Before the 1840s, the Bund was a muddy narrow lane with tall reeds. • 1840 years after the first opium war,keep the doors were opened,the colonists shelling Shanghai also forced to be commercial port.From then on,all kinds of western architecture have emerged with the colonial plunder • In 1930s,Shanghai ,a little beach town,has had become the Far East's largest city !
In 1857 the foreigner in Shangihai built a Chinese style department. 1891 - 1893 rebuilt into the Gothic architecture
It last rebuilt in 1925, and eventually became the current construction. We use the unit of the Shanghai customs.
